"Yeah, see you soon,"Shirabu's Pov
As the days passed, I found myself becoming more comfortable with the idea of being in a fake relationship with Semi.
However, my friends seemed determined to meddle in my business.
One day, I was walking around campus, with nothing to do just walking, when I saw Semi.
He was talking to some people, some girls actually, with a stupid smile on his face
He looked very intrigued in the conversation and seemed as if he didn't want to get bothered by anyone, not even me
I could A, go interrupt their little conversation and steal Semi from them or B, just ignore it and walk away
I chose B and walked away
No point in me getting involved, why would I? I don't need to talk to him or anything so what's the point?
I carried on my random walk when Akaashi cornered me to have a "serious" talk.
I was confused, but I trusted him
We ended up at a restaurant where I could see Suna and Kenma sitting and chatting
I look at them confused as I take a seat at the table "Why are we drinking at 5 pm?"
"Why not?" Suna shrugs
"What's with the occasion?" I glance over at Akaashi who is also taking a seat, beside me
"It's a celebration," He says
"For?" I Question
"For you, now that you have a boyfriend" Kenma takes a sip of his drink "Obviously"
A sigh escapes my mouth "Not this again. Didn't we talk about this? We're fake dating, not real dating" I emphasise the fake
"Close enough to the real thing" Kenma shrugs
Akaashi cleared his throat, looking way too serious for the occasion. "So, how's the fake dating thing going, Shirabu?"
Kenma raised an eyebrow. "Yeah, you guys seem to be spending a lot of time together lately."
Suna smirked. "Are you sure it's just fake? Seems pretty real to me."
I rolled my eyes, trying to downplay everything. "Guys, it's just a fake dating situation, nothing more. We're doing it to fix the disaster Suna made" I give a death stare to Suna
Akaashi exchanged glances with the others, seemingly unconvinced. "Sure, Shirabu. We believe you."
Kenma leaned in. "But you do know that fake dating can turn real sometimes, right?"
I scoffed. "Please, that's just a silly cliché from movies and books. It won't happen to me."
Suna chuckled. "Famous last words, Shirabu. Famous last words."
They continued to tease me about my "fake dates" with Semi, making sly remarks here and there. Despite their suspicions, I was determined to keep insisting that there were no real feelings involved.
As for making our fake relationship more convincing, Semi and I decided to hang out more in public and act more affectionately. Holding hands, hugging, and the occasional cheek kiss became a norm whenever we were out together. While it felt awkward at first, we soon grew accustomed to it, and it did help in selling the idea to others.
"On this date, next month," Kenma began with a playful glint in his eyes, "if Shirabu and Semi end up actually dating, then he owes us an expensive dinner at a fancy restaurant."
