He didn't want anything to come between themThird Person Pov
Shirabu and Semi were sitting in the living room, with Semi's head resting on Shirabu's shoulder while Shirabu's head was leaning against Semi's. They were both absorbed in scrolling through their phones.
Suddenly, Semi's phone started to ring, and he let out a groan upon seeing the caller ID. He stood up and left the room to take the call in private. Semi entered the kitchen, feeling a sense of hesitation before answering the call.
"Hello," the voice on the other side said.
"What is it?" Semi's response was abrupt and impatient.
"Where have you been? Why have you not been answering my calls?" Semi's mother's voice questioned.
"I'm at Mori's place," Semi replied.
"Don't lie to me. I was talking to his mother," her voice grew more frustrated.
"I'm at a friend's house," Semi insisted.
"Which friend?" She inquired.
"You don't need to know," Semi's annoyance was palpable
"Eita Semi!" She raised her voice. "You need to get home right now. Your father has an important party to attend, and you need to go with him."
"Why do I have to?" Semi questioned.
"Eita, remember what we talked about. All your guitars are here at home. One stupid move and they're all gone," she warned him.
"Mother! Stop controlling me," Semi's frustration was getting worse
"Eita, listen to me. Get home by 8," she instructed before ending the call.
"Fuck," Semi murmured, running his hand through his hair in stress.
After a brief contemplation, Semi returned to the living room where Shirabu was still on his phone.
"Hey, Jirou," Semi said as he sat down.
Shirabu glanced up at Semi. "Mmmh?"
"My mom just called. Something came up, and I need to head back home today," Semi explained.
"Everything okay?" Shirabu inquired, showing concern.
"Yeah, nothing serious. Just a family party thing," Semi clarified.
"Oh, alright," Shirabu nodded. "When are you leaving?"
"I'll go right after I grab my things from upstairs," Semi replied, standing up again.
"Okay, let me know before you go," Shirabu said.
Semi nodded and headed upstairs to Shirabu's room. He collected his belongings and put on his jacket
As he glanced at the mirror, he noticed the hickeys on his neck from last night. "Fuck you, Shirabu," he muttered, running his fingers over the marks.
Before leaving, Semi knocked on Keisha's door and entered upon her permission.
"Hey, Keisha. It's a bit awkward, but do you have anything to cover a bruise?" Semi asked.
"What? Did Shirabu punch you or something?" She replied sarcastically before noticing Semi's hand on his neck.
"Ew, what the fuck," she exclaimed.
"What?" Semi looked confused.
"Forget it, come here," she gestured to her bed.
Semi sat down, watching curiously as Keisha rummaged through her drawer.
Shirabu glanced at his phone, realizing that almost 15 minutes had passed since Semi went upstairs. He started to feel concerned. What could be taking him so long?
He stood up and made his way to the staircase, contemplating whether to call Semi or not. He decided to check on him personally. As he entered his room, he couldn't immediately spot Semi. The bathroom door was open, indicating that Semi wasn't in there either.
Knocking on Keisha's door and entering, Shirabu's face registered shock at the sight that greeted him. There was Semi, sitting on the bed with an array of makeup spread across his face. "What the fuck happened?" Shirabu couldn't help but voice his confusion.
Both Semi and Keisha looked at Shirabu, seemingly at a loss for words.
Keisha finally broke the silence. "Someone needed to, cough cough, cover some bruises, but we ended up doing a whole makeover," she explained with a sheepish grin.
Shirabu leaned against the wall, observing Semi with pink blush and red lipstick on his face. "I'm glad you're over that phase now," he directed his comment to Keisha.
Keisha blinked in response. "What do you mean? It's your turn now," she announced with a mischievous smile.
"No thank you," Shirabu hesitated, already sensing where this was going.
"If I have to go through this, then so do you," Semi chimed in, standing up and pulling Shirabu down onto the bed beside him.
"I thought you were supposed to be heading home," Shirabu glanced at Semi, wiping off some of the lipstick smudge on Semi with his finger
"I thought so too," Semi sighed.
"So, are we going for bold or simple?" Keisha's gaze shifted over to Shirabu.
"Can we opt for nothing?" Shirabu's hesitation was evident.
"Bold it is!" Keisha declared, grabbing a brush with determination.

Semi clutched his keys tightly as he stood before his house's entrance. He felt a wave of nervousness wash over him, making him hesitate before finally pushing the door open and stepping inside.
The atmosphere inside was as quiet and typical as always, nothing out of the ordinary. Semi moved further into the house, his steps cautious and filled with apprehension.
He entered the main room where his parents were watching the news on television. Their gaze shifted towards him, his father's expression registering a hint of anger.
"Look who finally decided to show up," his father's voice held a tinge of frustration.
"Good to see you too, old man," Semi responded with a roll of his eyes, his defiance apparent.
His mother's voice joined the conversation. "Disrespectful as always. Where did you acquire this attitude? We shouldn't have left you alone in Japan for this long."
Semi let out a sigh, dropping onto the couch and placing an arm over his forehead in an attempt to alleviate his building stress. "Can we get to the point" Semi groaned
Cutting through the tension, his mother explained the reason for summoning him. "The family party. It's your grandmother's birthday. How could you forget?"
Semi turned his head to face his mother, his expression a mix of annoyance and irritation. "She doesn't even know me, doesn't care about anything but money," his tone had an edge. "What's the point of celebrating a party for someone who's going to die any day?"
"Eita, I swear to God, I will drag you into homeschool if you keep behaving like this," his mother's voice escalated. "This is your father's mother. Don't say such disrespectful things."
Semi pushed himself up from the couch, in a defiant stance. "Are we done here?" he asked.
His father's anger seemed to intensify as he responded sternly. "Be ready by 8:30."
Without another word, Semi left his parents in the main room and headed for his own bedroom. The mixture of frustration, anger, and helplessness built up within him.
