Shirabu got up and headed towards the door, swinging the keys on his finger

Shirabu's Pov

I sat in my classroom, my head resting on the table, waiting anxiously for our exam results to be handed out. The tension in the room was palpable, and I couldn't help but feel nervousness

"Shirabu, sit up," the teacher's voice broke through my thoughts as she placed a paper on my desk. I straightened up and glanced around, exchanging anxious glances with my classmates

Akaashi, sitting beside me, received his paper. "What did you get?" I asked, my own worry temporarily forgotten as I focused on his reaction.

"I got 96%," Akaashi replied, his tone tinged with disappointment.

"What? Are you kidding? That's amazing!" I exclaimed, surprised by his reaction.

"It's the same score as last time. I was hoping to improve," Akaashi sighed.

"You're consistently doing better than me in every exam. You should be proud of yourself," I nudged him

My attention was quickly brought back to my own results as the teacher placed a paper in front of me. She offered a kind smile and said, "You did well, Shirabu."

Taking a deep breath, I turned over the paper slowly, my heart racing in my chest. When I saw the number written there, I was shocked

"98%?" I muttered in disbelief. "Is this right?"

Akaashi leaned over in curiosity "What did you get?"

"I got 98%," I said, my voice filled with astonishment. "I can't believe it."

"98%? Kenjirou, that's incredible!" Akaashi's smile was genuine

"I don't know... It feels unreal," I admitted, still trying to process the result.

"Class is over. If you have any questions about the results, please let me know" The teacher wrapped up the class, and I gathered my things to approach her. "Excuse me, ma'am, are these results accurate?" I asked, still a bit sceptical.

"Yes, Shirabu. You did exceptionally well. Don't doubt your abilities," she reassured me.

I thanked her and left the classroom, my mind already racing with thoughts of sharing the news.

"I needed to tell Semi," I said to Akaashi

"I'll talk to you later" I ran off as Akaashi waved his hand at me

Bursting into the band room, I blurted out, "I got 98%!"

Semi, along with the other band members, turned their attention to me.

"Oh, sorry," I added, realizing that others were present.

"What happened?" Semi stood up and walked towards me.

"I got 98% on the exam," I said, this time more quietly as we left the room to talk privately.

"98? Wow, I knew you were smart, but that's impressive," Semi said, clearly taken aback.

I explained how shocked I was by the result, attributing it to our café study sessions. He listened intently, his attention focused on me.

"We should celebrate. I have a performance at a restaurant later today. You want to come?" Semi suggested.

"You're performing? Why didn't you tell me?" I frowned.

"It's not a big deal, really. I didn't want to bother you," Semi replied.

"But I promised I'd come to every one of your performances," I explained.

"Alright then, I'll let you know the details. Let's celebrate with some good food," Semi grinned, and I couldn't help but feel a surge of happiness

I arrived at the restaurant where Semi was performing and quickly located him on the stage. He looked amazing under the spotlight

The waitress at the front greeted me with a smile. "Hello, sir. What is your name?"

"Shirabu, Kenjirou," I replied, my attention still focused on Semi on the stage.

"Okay, please come this way," she gestured for me to follow her. She led me to a table with a perfect view of the stage, allowing me to enjoy the performance comfortably.

As the song came to an end, the band huddled up, presumably discussing their next move. I took a moment to appreciate the decorations in the restaurant

Once they got back into position, I noticed that Semi had a microphone stand set up in front of him. My curiosity piqued. Was he going to sing?

One of the band members announced, "This next song is by a group called Seventeen. Let's see if you can guess the title."

The melody started, and the member began to sing, his voice captivating the audience. I leaned in, my attention fully captured by the performance.

Then it was Semi's turn to sing, and I was taken aback by the beautiful sound that filled the room. He sang, his voice holding a depth I hadn't expected.

As he sang, his eyes locked onto mine, and my heart raced. I felt a rush of warmth at his words, and it was as if there was no one else in the room but us.

As the song ended, the band members exchanged smiles. Semi stepped off the stage and made his way towards me. "How did you find the performance?" he asked, his eyebrows raised as he took a seat across from me.

"It was great," I replied, my admiration shown in my tone. "I had no idea you could sing like that."

Semi chuckled, his eyes sparkling. "I don't usually sing, but I wanted to try this song."

"Well, you were amazing," I grinned, genuinely impressed by his talent. "Was this song, I don't understand but I luv you?"

He sat up straight with surprise in his eyes, "Yes it was. I didn't know you knew this?"

"Of Course, I know Seventeen" My brows furrow

"I guess you don't have a bad music taste then" he nodded

"I never had a bad music taste in the first place" I snap at him

Semi, slightly grinned at me "What about high school?"

"I've told you thousands of times not to bring up my high school life" My cheeks flush crimson

As a moment of silence passed, Semi leaned in slightly, his expression softening. "Thank you for being here. It means a lot to me."

I smiled back at him, My face cooling down. "Of course, Semi"

"Could you call me..." He lowered his voice

"Call you what?" I raised my brows

"Eita..." His tone embarrassed

I chuckled softly, looking over at him "Fine, you did amazing Eita"

Semi's face went all red. His hand automatically covered his face in embarrassment

We sat there, with the menu in between us "Should we order?" I tilted my head

"Yeah we should" he replied, his hand still covering the lower half of his face
