But to them, it really wasn't

Third Person Pov

The atmosphere in the library subtly shifted as Semi's voice cut through the quiet, drawing Shirabu's attention away from his books. He raised his head, his pen still poised in his hand, to meet Semi's presence.

Semi smoothly pulled out a chair and settled into it, joining Shirabu and Akaashi at their table. "Hey, what's up?" he inquired

Shirabu arched an eyebrow, looking at Semi with surprise "Odd to see you here," he remarked, the pen still held lightly between his fingers.

Semi's response was swift, defending his position "Excuse me? Just because I'm taking music as a career doesn't mean I didn't focus on my classes. Anyway, I don't need to study because I'm naturally clever already," he declared, his words filled with a confident grin.

Akaashi observed the playful banter between the two, a faint smile touching his lips. "It's always good to have some humility, Semi," he remarked, with a calm tone

"Akaashi what do you mean? It's just the honest truth" Semi tilted his head slightly

Shirabu chuckled softly, shaking his head. "You always find a way to amuse yourself, don't you?"

Semi's grin widened, "Keeps life interesting, doesn't it?"

"So, why are you actually here?" Shirabu asks

Semi leaned back slightly, adopting a thoughtful expression. "I was going to grab a book for my next class, then I spotted you guys here," he explained with a shrug. "I should get going, though. Class starts soon." Semi stood up

"Alright, bye," Shirabu replied, in acknowledgement

Semi hesitated, his hand resting on the edge of the table. "I'll see you later," he added, almost as an afterthought. Then, he paused, "Oh, and also, should I bring the popcorn?"

Shirabu's brows furrowed, genuine confusion crossing his face. "What are you talking about?" he inquired

Semi rubbed his face in a slightly exasperated manner. "The movie?" he said as if waiting for Shirabu to catch on.

Shirabu blinked, his confusion not fading. "What movie?" he asked, still not connecting the dots

Semi let out a sigh and leaned in slightly. "Did Keisha not tell you about the movie night she set up?" he asked, in disbelief.

"No? I don't remember her telling me any of this," Shirabu admitted, a sense of realization dawning upon him

"She invited me over, saying the second part to a movie we watched back when we were in high school came out a few months ago, and she wanted to watch it together," Semi explained

Shirabu nodded slowly, processing the information. "Oh, well, she didn't tell me anything about it," he said, as he shrugged

Semi grinned teasingly. "Maybe you're not invited, too bad," he chuckled

Shirabu rolled his eyes, familiar with Semi's banter. "Are you coming straight to my house after school?" he asked.

Semi nodded, leaning against the table. "Yeah, well, after I go to the shops first, then yeah," he confirmed.

"Wait for me, I'll go home with you," Shirabu stated

"Okay, Your Highness," Semi replied, his tone dripping with sarcasm. "I should be going now," he added, his head nodding slightly at Shirabu and then at Akaashi as he turned to leave
