"I hope you and Semi luck"
Shirabu's Pov
I collapsed my head onto Akaashi's shoulder in despair. Akaashi, who was reading his book, didn't bother to check on me. He had probably gotten used to my bouts of depression.
"Akaashi," I called out, my voice filled with desperation. "Help me."
Akaashi replied without looking up from his book, "What is it this time?"
Resting my head on his shoulder, I complained, "I messed up. I messed up so badly!"
The librarian shot us a warning look as if we were being too loud.
Rolling my eyes, I continued my rant, "I told Kai that I was dating Semi."
Akaashi closed his book and finally turned his attention to me, causing me to lift my head.
"But you didn't actually accept him?" Akaashi questioned.
"I know that's the problem. I told him a lie. What do I do?" I groaned in frustration.
"Date him," Akaashi suggested.
"Huh?" I replied, puzzled.
"Date Semi. It doesn't have to be real. You can break it off after Kai leaves," Akaashi elaborated.
"Yeah, but I don't want to date him," I confessed.
"Are you sure about that?" Akaashi raised an eyebrow.
I felt my face turn red. "Well... no, but who wouldn't want to date him? I just don't like how things are going his way."
"Shirabu, listen to yourself. You're acting like a child. He's giving you a good offer, so take it. It's a win-win situation for you. Kai will think you're taken, and you get to date one of the hottest and most popular boys," Akaashi tried to persuade me.
"God, Akaashi! This doesn't feel right," I confessed, looking into his eyes.
"Well, you already told Kai. There's no backing out now," Akaashi grinned.
"Ugh, fine! I'll go talk to him," I finally accepted defeat.
"Shhh," the librarian shot another glare at us.
"Go now. His classes are probably over," Akaashi said, picking up his book.
"Now?" I questioned.
"Yes, now. Go. I need to finish reading this," Akaashi replied, his eyes back on his book.
"Alright, alright," I nodded, standing up and preparing to face the consequences of Suna's mess
