Leo
Leo fell quickly towards the sea. He wasn't thinking straight, if he was, he wouldn't have gotten angry ofer Festus's death and jumped for Khoine.
Something grabbed the back of his shirt.
"Leo!" Jason screamed, trying to regain his flight.
"Yes dear?" Leo said with a mouth full of ozone.
"What the hades made you jum-"
"Isn't it obvious?! It was my fault Festus died the first time, and I let it happen again!" Leo cried.
Jason didn't respond. Either he didn't know what to say, or he was too strained from flying.
"Lemme' go, I've got to go Firebomb Snow Princess!" Leo yelled.
Jason was zooming back towards the ship. "No you don't, Leo."
Leo squirmed. He had to get to Khoine, he had to.
Leo got an idea. A stupid idea that would hurt his best friend, but it was neccassary.
Part one- "Jason, look on deck! What's wrong with Piper?!"
Check. Jason looked.
Part two- He pressed his hand to Jason's hand, and summonded fire.
Unfortunently, check. Jason screamed and let go of Leo's shirt.
Leo dropped down. They were about a mile or two from Rome, still over the ocean.
Leo remembered that hitting wate r from this height was as bad as hitting concrete. He'd heard that Percy managed it once, but he was the son of the sea god.
Leo was free falling.
Out of the cornor of his eye, he could see the Argo II racing to help. They wouldn't make it in time though.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Leo almost passed Khoine.
Almost.
She was floating a few feet above the water, smirking.
Leo grabbed her safron icy cold dress.
Khoine gasped. "Off of my dress, Leo Valdez!"
Leo wanted to say, "Gods, that sounds so wrong," But he didn't.
Instead, he blew fire in her face.
Khoine summonded a wall of ice to protect herself. She flicked her hand, and a balst of wind sent him 20 feet in the air.
Leo, deciding that his death would be spectacular, yelled, "FLAME ON!" He shot simultanious shots of fire at Khoine.
Khoine deflected each blast with snow, but her face was contorted. He was slowing her attacks down.
Leo was falling dangerously close to the water again, when he seemed to balance on something. He figured it was Jason, sending down some wind to assist but then he looked down.
Leo was balancing on a board,
made of red hot flames.
"Sweet," Leo murmured. He leaned forward and the board responded. Awesome. Just like riding a segway.
He shot a tornado of flames at Khoine smirky little face. He could hear his friends cheering for him, trying to help.
Khoine glanced at them. "Say good bye to Leo Valdez!" She yelled at them. The cheering ended.
Khoine shot a hurricane of ice shards at him.Leo didn't have time to deflect. The ice shards cut him nd formed a cylinde of ice around him.
No way out.
His friends screamed, Leo could hear Hazel especially.
Well, I could have died in much lamer ways. H e thought to himself. He decided to try breaking out of the ice before he hit the water.
He pressed his hands to the cool ice and concentrated. He prayed to Hephaestus to help him out a little.
Th e cylinder broke into millions of peices. Leo was back on his fire board.
"You were saying, Khoine?"
Khoine opened and closed her mouth like a fish.Impressed.
Leo grinned. "You can't freeze flamin' Valdez!" He shot a volley of fire blast at her. She dissapered in a collumn of snow.
Leo was proud. Prouder then he'd ever been. Khoine had been afraid of him, and fled.
The pride ended when his knees buckled.
"Leo!" Piper cried. The Argo II was next to him. Leo slumped down on his board.
He fell into a deep sleep.
No nightmares came but, he heard a voice. Kill the gemstone, kill the dove, the eagle and the boar. Kill them all.
Any ideas for the next chapter? Want some Lazel, Frazel, Percabeth, maybe some Jiper? Anything??!!
