Mares of Diomedes

 "So, that golden mare line in the prophecy, what's that about?" 

 Annabeth rolled her eyes. "Really Percy? I thought you knew."

Zoe snorted. "He never knows."

Silena giggled.

They were walking down a dark creepy hallway, on their way to the House of Hades.

"Just tell me." Percy sighed.

Annabeth smiled, but she was limping with every step, leaning heavily on Percy, though Percy wanted to lean on her.

 "The mares of Diomedes, I think."

"The what of who?" Bianca asked, completely confused.

"Hercules defeated th-"

"Of course he did." Percy sighed.

Annabeth smiled and patted his shoulder. "Let it go, Seaweed Brain. Anyway, the there are four mares, I can't think of the names right now. But-"

Percy heard the flapping of wings and his head snapped up.

Annabeth must hvae thought the muses were furies, because she drew her dagger. Everyone else stayed frozen.

 Two muses (Percy had seen them on Olympus before) flapped down and landed next to Percy and Annabeth. They shivered, not liking Tartarus, appearantly.

Annabeth held her dagger under her muses throat. "Who are you?"

The muse shivered again. "Names not important, now. We can't be in Tartarus long, or else we shall-" She sneezed.

Percy's muse rolled her eyes. "We are here to offer advice, to Annabeth Chase," She gestured at her. "And Perseus-" 

"Percy." He corrected.

"Jackson."

Annabeth slowly sheathed he dagger.

"Okay. So give us the advice."

Her muse looked slightly annoyed, but looked deep into her eyes. Annabeth tried to stare back awakrdly.

"Annabeth Chase," The muse said in a ghostly voice. "Fear your fears, for they shall end one of your family members life."

Annabeth raised an eyebrow. "That's it?"

Percy's muse rolled her eyes and turned to Percy.

Silena was trying to stop a slap fight between Annabeth and her muse, while Zoe watched, but Bianca was watching Percy especially.

"Perseus-"

Percy sighed. "It's Percy."

"Jackson. Do not let your fatal flaw use you, especially in the end." 

At first, when Annabeth was annoyed at her advice, Percy thought she was over-reacting. But this......this was all? The best they could offer? Percy already knew not to let his flaw use him, but he  always let it, no matter what seemed to happen. So what did the muse expect?

"Yeah, sure whatever, super advice man." Percy murmured, looking away.

The muse smiled and lowered her voice, only loud enough for Percy to hear. "I know of your decision. I know you will not follow my advice. But please, Percy Jackson-"

Percy smiled at the fact that she didn't say "Perseus" this time.

"If my home on Olympus is to be preserved, do not fail."

Percy felt like this muse and him had a lot in commen.

"Will do."

"Good." The muse smiled and turned to her sister. 

Annabeth and her muse were being lectured by Silena.

"Sister! We must take our leave."

Annabeth's muse nodded and stood. "Good riddance, Annabeth Chase."

"Ditto."

Percy felt Annabeth and her muse were a lot alike too.

The two muses enlongegated their wings and flew upwards, to Earth, probably to Olympus.

Lucky.

Percy started to wonder what would be happening if he had wings when Bianca interuppted.

"We should keep going." She said, eyeing Percy the entire time.

"Oh, yeah. 'Course." Percy straightened.

He had two days until Gaea came.

He was going to make the most of it.

He strolled over to a pouting Annabeth and kissed her.

The kiss was long and meaningful, which made Percy feel way better. 

After a few hours, Bianca stopped them.

"We're almost there. I can feel my father's aura."

They turned a corner, and Percy swallowed. "More then almost, Bianca. We are here."

A large black castle stood in front of them, 100 times the size of Camp Jupitar. 

Annabeth tucked her hand in Percy's, and he blushed, glad it was too dark for anyone to notice.

"Welcome to the House of Hades."

Pretty good, eh?

So, I'm thinking about a Hazel chapter next, or Jason.

So which do you guys want? Hazel or Jason?
