So

It's been real kids.

I thought about making a seperate authors note to talk to you all , but that's kinda cliche.

Basically, let's sum up what we've accomplished here, okay?

613 votes and 473 comments ( as of the last chapter), 67 chapters, 58 of those really badly written chapters, the other 9 being fairly decent.

If you type House of Hades into the search box, this story is number seventh. If you type The House of Hades (weird how slightly changing the wording gives you different results) this is third.

For whatever reason, you all hobbled through the first 58 chapters and are still here, reading this crappy piece of fanfiction.

I'm not the type to get sappy, but you're all really amazing.

Anywhosies, on to the tale if despair

Hazel

HAZEL HONESTLY WASN'T LISTENING TO NICO RAMBLY EXPLAIN HOW QUICKLY THE DEMIGODS HAD GOTTEN TO THE DOORS.

She was too buzy staring at Piper, how was slamming her fists against the door, yelling and screaming. Jason had given up on trying to calm her, and sat in the corner, crying silently.

"And I guess Hephaestus must've given us a boost or something, because when we got on deck we were here."

"Uh huh" Hazel said absentlmindedly. She didn't bother to explain why she had been with Percy and Annabeth. She didn't trust herself to not start crying if she said their names.

Instead, she lightly kissed Nico on the cheek, and walked over to Frank. She stood while he sat, wanting permission first.

"You can sit down." He said quietly, after a few minutes. She obliged, tucking her feet under her legs.

He hesitently laid his head on her shoulder, and Hazel said lightly, "It's okay."

"No it's not." He whispered. "It's not okay. They're dead, Hazel. Percy and Annabeth are dead, and Piper-" Hazel saw Piper continuing to beat up the wall out of the corner of her eye. "Isn't gonna be able to do anything about that."

 "I know. I'm sorry Frank."

"How'd you get there?" Frank asked in a crackling voice. "In Tartarus, I mean."

"Gaea." Hazel said, and that was all that she would say.

Suddenly, Nico doubled over and cried out.

"Nico?" Hazel got up and subconsiously put a hand on her sword hilt. "Nico!"

"It-It's Leo."

"What?" Jason said. Even Piper stopped hitting the walls to listen.

Nico kneeled and dug his hands into the hard packed ground. Hazel tried to help him up, but he waved her off.

"Does anyone have food?" He asked, staring at the small hole he had dug.

"Why do you need-" Frank began, but Piper took a step forward, away from the doors.

"Like, what kind of food?"

"Uh, McDonalds. Or something like that."

Piper turned and grabbed the leather strip tha connected her cornucopia off her shoulder. She held it out and closed her eyes. After a few seconds- during which you could hear a pin drop- a small bag appeared, with a yellow M on the front.
