Chapter 15

Lantern Rite

Today was the day. "Lantern Rite!!" Paimon squealed as they walked down the streets of liyue children were running around having fun and everything. Kaveh was walking around everything looking at the festivities joyfully. Tighnari noticed Nilou practing with 3 other girls a Dance. Kaveh walked over to the girls to say hi one was Nilou, another had blonde hair in two twin tails with blue eyes. Another had light blue almost white who had silver eyes the girl had a ponytail on to. The last one had dark colored hair and red eyes her hair was long and down. "oh, Kaveh this is Barbara!" Nilou pointed to the girl with blonde twin tails. "this is Ayaka!" Nilou introduced the girl with light blue almost white colored ponytail. "last but not least Yun Jin!" Nilou said happily pointing towards the girl with dark colored long hair. "we will be performing on the jade chamber!" Yun Jin said excitedly. Kaveh was proud of them and quickly left. As Kaveh walked he noticed a boy with a popsicle stick running they had light blue hair. And a boy behind him with dark blue hair ran towards him shouting" come back Hu Tao and Xiangling have been waiting forever! Where are you even going?" Alhaitham looked around interested on how life was here in Liyue it seemed nice but while passing by Alhaitham had to put his headphones louder cause some music disturbed him but Kaveh listened in." oh look! There's Xinyan!" Lumine said." I love music it's a part of the arts after all!" Kaveh exclaimed enjoying the sounds of music, laughter, and happiness. While walking in front everyone Kaveh was stopped in his tracks. "buy 1 coffin get one free for your loved one!" said a girl in front of him. "Hu Tao! How's it going?" asked Paimon "good! " Hu Tao replied. "you guys should go to chef maos it doesn't seem like you live in Liyue!" Hu Tao pointed out.

They accepted her recommendations with thanks. They continued walking through Liyue before Lumine stopped to chat with Ganyu once again Kaveh greeted Ganyu because they had known each other for a few years.

It soon became time to get ready for Lantern Rite. Kaveh got ready and changed his hairstyle and everything. They got ready since they would watch a performance before the lanterns and fireworks would go off.

The performance was splendid Barbara and Yunjin sanged beautifully while Nilou and Ayaka were dancing amazingly to!
Keqing told the traveler she would get ready in her dress. Beidou came to visit Ningguang Hu Tao, Xiangling, Xinqiu, and Chongyun wandered the streets happily. Keqing and Ganyu talked together while after te performance Yunjin was talking with Shenhe and Xiao was alone watching so was Mr. Zhongli until Hu Tao tried to scare him. Yanfei was walking around making sure everything was right. Alhaitham, Tighnari, Cyno, And Kaveh were standing together out the Jade Chamber waiting for the Lanterns and Fireworks. As Paimon and Lumine sat down drinking lemonade waiting for Lantern Rite begin. Suddenly a flash of light appeared. With firework crackles it was time. As the lanterns starting lighting they started floating up. And Kaveh was about to let his out to before Paimon came up to him. "Kaveh before you let it go, make a wish then your wish will come true!" Kaveh thought about his wish and knew,

"I wish that alhaitham loves me to."

Kaveh whispered very quietly so no one could hear but the crackles and music did the job for him it was so hard to hear. Kaveh let his Lanten go. Yelan walked up behind Ningguang but before leaving stopped to say hello to Paimon and Lumine.

Kaveh was mesmerized by the lanterns they looked just like the stars he used to try to go to with his father. But these Kaveh was right beside them. Kave backed up then suddenly dashing ran towards them, he stepped on one then another quickly slowly putting the down but them getting up quickly by themselves Kaveh felt like he was flying Lumine was shocked. Because make a wrong move and he falls. Kaveh was on top of the city but then he tripped and started to all to the bottomless sea. Kaveh remembered his nightmare this was similar until, he felt hands oh his back and his direction changing Kaveh looked up Alhaitham had saved him using his wind glider. Quickly Paimon and Lumine glided down checking if he was OK. "WHAT WAS THAT IDEA?!?! YOU HAD PAIMON TERRIFIED!!!" Paimon sId scoldingly. "ehe! Sorry." Kaveh said.

"ehe...? Are you a TONE DEAF BARD?" Paimon shouted. Kaveh was confused but just shook it off. It was a beautiful night though.

The day after they finally made it back to Sumeru.
