Chapter 16

Desert Adventure!

Once they all get back to sumeru they all ate at a restaurant eating till their hearts content!

They all couldn't stay very long since Cyno had to go back to the desert. Nilou had practice the next day at Zubayr theater, Tighnari and Collei had to return to the Avidiya forest they were forest rangers after all!
Alhaitham as the acting grand sage had to do so much work obviously and he did have to sign some papers Ningguang gave him during their talks. Kaveh had to go to the desert for a commission and it just so happened Lumine and Paimon were going to be exploring that area so they were gonna take to the desert the next day.

They all laughed and had a great time.

The next day Kaveh told Alhaitham he would be taking his leave. "I'll be going now Haitham!" Kaveh told Alhaitham. Alhaitham nodded as they both said they're goodbyes. Kavehs commission was far in the desert, so he would be staying there for a few days.

Kaveh met up with Lumine and Paimon as they started they're journey to the desert!

The desert was brutal. During day it felt burning hot. While during the night it was cold and cruel.

The desert was beautiful though, once in awhile kaveh couldn't help but stop and admire the oasis there once in a while. Lumine and Paimon on the other hand were more interested in new animals, eremites and stuff like that.

Kaveh finally made it to the clients destination and decided to start working. He and Lumine planned to stay together since there were no places to stay like a village. Once Kaveh finished talking to the client he walked back to the camp Lumine and Paimon had set up. Will truthfully the camp Lumine set up. Not Paimon. Lumine was obviously exploring for a longggg time since that's what adventurers do! Kaveh stayed up late since he was making blue prints for the plan. Yet something was off, since who would want to build some houses in the desert?

Kaveh didn't question it to much though, since the man he was working with was nice after all. Kaveh continued sketching out different types of houses till he settled on one.

The next morning Kaveh woke up to a beautiful dawn Kaveh couldn't help but start sketching in it he started adding a little oasis plan trees a few dunes. Everything. Even some cute Desert foxes. Kaveh started walking around seeing if they're were any monsters nearby. It seemed as though Lumine cleared them all out. Kaveh did find some fungi. He quickly took them out so they couldn't hurt him or Lumine and Paimon. Kaveh walked around and saw a domain. He was interested, yet couldn't bring himself to enter. It could be filled to the brim with monsters. Kaveh didn't risk it and left.

Kaveh saw Lumine walking around they both met up to say hi and eat breakfast together. Even though it was burning hot whenever Kaveh came near a old building he couldn't help but admire the architecture. So kaveh did just that, to every single ruin.

As Kaveh continued walking around the desert searching for interesting items he saw cute Desert foxes.

They quickly came up to him and started asking for food and everything Kaveh thought they were so cute. But was starting to get annoyed at their pestering.

He did however notice something there was old blades lying there in the sand. Kaveh felt confused but quickly picked them up and threw them far way from the foxes so they wouldn't get hurt. Kaveh noticed a fox had a cut in it's leg.

Kaveh scooped it up and began carrying it to the camp. Kaveh wrapped a small bandage around the injured leg of the poor fox. The fox whimpered at the pain and Kaveh felt terrible for the little guy. Kaveh finished bandaging up the fox yet the fox still followed him around. Maybe the fox started to like Kaveh. Soon enough Kaveh noticed it was time to meet up with the client again to work out some stuff of the blue prints.

The faster Kaveh started work with the man, the faster he could go back home. Kaveh missed his friends after all. Alhaitham, Faurzan, Layla, Tighnari, Cyno, practically everyone. Kaveh walked to the area they were going to meet up at in. And of course.

The fox followed him.
