Chapter 27

Joyous Sunset Of Fountains

Kaveh woke up excited, bursting with energy yet when he looked in the mirror for second... He saw his depressed self since he thought the blood was going through the bandages luckily they weren't it was just his imagination. Kaveh decided to put on a short sleeve shirt for a change since he was tired and still didn't want to go in his normal clothes.

Alhaitham woke up realizing it was 9 am and he quickly got ready for work. Kaveh and Alhaitham walked into the kitchen as they cut apples. Alhaitham couldn't help but noticed why yesterday Kavehs arms were completely normal yet now they were wrapped around in a long white bandage. Kaveh cut the apples but accidently hurted him self.

Alhaitham rushed to get a bandage "Kaveh are you o-" Alhaitham was interrupted by Kavehs reaction to it he just kept bleeding even if it was bleeding. "it's OK, doesn't hurt much anyways." Kaveh shrugged reassuringly.

Alhaitham left to work and Kaveh was excited the whole day for his birthday, yet no one had talked to him yet. He decided to write a letter to the traveler seeing if they could come say happy birthday. Kaveh even cooked his special dish. Kaveh thought about going over to say hi to Cyno and Tighnari but he didn't.

Kaveh decided to go to the Akademiya and read since he barely did that. And work obviously.
Kaveh was sitting at the table remembering that was the exact table he met Alhaitham. Back then Kaveh was definitely a lot more depressed or than right now yet he was still definitely sad. Kaveh remembered the voices that would annoy him when he was younger saying he deserved to die. Kaveh still sometimes heard those voices but he decided to ignore them until the day before his birthday. Kaveh read some of the books remembering his days as a Ksrshrawer Scholar.

Kaveh felt a sort of nostalgia flush over him. Before he and Alhaitham fought a lot more he actually liked Alhaitham. Even Tighnari kinda wanted them to get together. Alhaitham knew that Tighnari wanted that.

Kaveh let out a tear remembering how easy it was to just be a scholar and learn. But now all he had to deal with was debt!

Kaveh left feeling annoyed. Kaveh walked around Sumeru city passing by many places. Kaveh decided after to lay in the grass next to a beautiful waterfall with a bridge Kaveh walked on the bridge adoring the beauty after napping on the grass.

After a few hours it was 6 so Kaveh went home the sun was going to set in a bit so he was confused if his friends had forgotten his birthday and suddenly a voice he hadn't heard in awhile spoke up. "of course they forgot about you, you're a just a dumb blonde thats a waste of time that's why they haven't said happy birthday." the voice said. Kaveh immediately tried to ignore it going to his bed to sleep.

Kaveh was right it was raining yet it was soothing. But one thing ruined it."you tried dying and the fact is you were such a wimp you couldnt even die! " the voice laughed. Kaveh tried to ignore it he wasnt going to do suicide again. "you've only ever been a bother to Alhaitham and others know that? That's why your mom hasn't ever visited you! You should die." the voice said over and over but soon, the more the voice convinced Kaveh the more he believed it and wanted to dissappear. Kaveh wrote a letter for Alhaitham stating the worst.

Dear Alhaitham,

Sorry about being a bother it's probably why you didn't say happy birthday but I don't blame you. I will be leaving you which means I will no longer live with you. I'll go away I'll be gone... Forever. Don't stop me if you know what I'm doing but, it's better for everyone I'm just a burden.

Kaveh wrote the last few characters and soon saw Mehrak come in beeping dramatically. "hey buddy!" Kaveh said sadly yet tried to hide it from Mehrak with a facade. "I'll have no use for you... So once I'm gone you listen to Alhaitham he'll be your new owner. Goodbye Mehrak." Kaveh hugged Mehrak turning him off while turning around towards the door.

Alhaitham opened the door to the house seeing a letter. Alhaitham dropped the letter. He couldn't believe it. It was pouring outside too! Alhaitham ran out of the house searching for Kaveh.

Finally Alhaitham saw Kaveh on a bridge staring down at the waterfall with sharp rocks below. Alhaitham approached Kaveh slowly acting like no threat. "Kaveh please we can talk about this..." Alhaitham put his hands out. Kaveh shook his head almost crying he didn't want to die yet he also wanted to the world was the worst. Reality was a concept of pain to Kaveh. "Haitham... You don't have to like me, plus I am kinda annoying sometimes so yeah... But before I go I wanted to say, I love you." Kaveh said as he climbed on the railing. Alhaitham noticed he was about to jump. he ran over shouting "I love you too!!" but soon enough Kavehs hair blew in the wind as he started falling his bandages flying off revealing the grousome cuts as Alhaitham saw the love of his life fall into misery and depression only to commit suicide. The rain was so strong Alhaitham couldn't see Kaveh even only after a second of jumping. Alhaitham stood there confused he was crying, but was he crying tears or was it just the rain.

1 week later

Alhaitham read the news the news stated.

"expert, kind, and joyful Kaveh or known as the Light Of Krshrewar has been declared death since the body was never retrieved it is possible he drowned in the lake the incident occurred on but in a month there will be a funeral held in honor of his name. Not many know if it was a suicide or murder. "
