Chapter 33

Sakura At Sunset

Tighnari, Alhaitham, Cyno, Collei, and Kaveh decided to go out and eat ramen all together while also enjoying the summer festival since it was starting.

"So, how come you came here if all regions, Kaveh?" asked Tighnari finishing his ramen rather quickly. "Ah, I don't really know, I guess because when we came for the iridori festival Yae, offered me a job but I rejected however I needed mora to live so I took up the offer now." Kaveh explained fixing his hair into a low bun since it was difficult to eat with his hair down.

"this is delicious!" Cyno beamed as he took more ramen for his bowl. "it is!" Collei smiled leaning over to ask Tighnari if she could get more. "Actually wasn't your birthday just a few days ago?" Tighnari asked remembering Kavehs birthday was in the summer. "yes, actually! It's a shame you didn't come earlier, but it's OK! You're here for the festival and that's great!" Kaveh grinned giving a thumbs up.

Collei gave a thumb's up too only to be suddenly thrown off by...

"BOOM!" a voice exclaimed. "Ah! Yoimiya when did you get here? And why did you say boom instead of boo?" Kaveh questioned.

"well, it's cause for fireworks go BOOM! don't you know?" Yoimiya smiled happily putting her hand on her hips, making her look confident.

"oh, you scared me!" Collei said embarrassed. "it's ok!" Yoimiya grinned leaving to go fix fireworks. "what do you do in the festival?" asked Alhaitham curious to see the order of doing activities or something like that.

"there's no order, silly! You just have fun! Even after all these years Haitham, hah! You truly haven't changed one bit! You're still some straightforward man that doesn't know anything about fun! You're like a stick in the mud.!" Kaveh smirked. Alhaitham looked at him blankly, yet was annoyed." whatever... " Alhaitham mumbled annoyed looking away as Cyno paid the check." Anyone up for TCG? Loser has to pay dinner for us all!" Cyno smirked, knowing he wouldn't have to pay a single mora.

"Sure!" Kaveh responded oblivious not remembering he was not that good at TCG. Collei was quite good since sometimes... She would practice during study time. Tighnari on the other hand always was forced to play with Cyno so he was good at it, Alhaitham was always dragged out to play cards, though he dislikes TCG  and does not care about it, he still is quite good for no reason.

They all play TCG and of course, Kaveh lost, luckily he was no longer in debt so he was actually able to pay this time unlike before.

They spent the day walking around Naurukami Island, heading to Naganohara fireworks for a custom firework, Kaveh had.

"Whats that you handed Yoimiya earlier?" Alhaitham asked after they left Naganohara Fireworks. "oh that slip?" Kaveh asked. Alhaitham simply nodded. "it's a custom firework, specifically it's supposed to look like Mehrak!" Kaveh grinned remembering the cute little Companion. "oh, actually..." Alhaitham suddenly summoned Mehrak right in front of Kaveh. "I didn't sell him since it was well, yours I don't know why I kept it. Maybe it was, something... To remember you by." Alhaitham said blushing a little. Kaveh hugged Mehrak immediately happy to see his best friend.

"Beeeep!" Mehrak beeped happily as if saying hiii!

Kaveh let out a few tears, even though Mehrak was but a robot Mehrak was the best. Always there for him no matter what. "I missed you!!" Kaveh let go and moved Mehrak to his side.

"he's yours." Alhaitham smiled, happy to see the person he loved so happy.

That night they had a delicious gigantic dinner at uyuu restaurant. They were eating delicious as Cyno and Collei munched on the satisfaction of these foods. Kaveh and Tighnari were conversing with each other happily eating the expensive bowls of ramen, plates of curry, some mochi for dessert, and many other delicious Inazuman dishes. Alhaitham was eating at a normal pace unlike Collei and Cyno acting like barbarians. However Alhaitham was definitely enjoying the food.

"Kaveh, can you come outside with me?" Alhaitham said putting down the chopsticks. "sure." Kaveh agreed a little confused at his question. Once  They left the restaurant, Tighnari glanced at Cyno. "so, what do you think Alhaitham has to say?" Tighnari said a little slyly with a smirk. "who knows... But, the sakuras are beautiful today, just like you." Cyno said taking some curry for his plate.

"yeah who knows... - WAIT A MINUTE! D-DONT SAY THAT! THATS EMBARRASSING!" Tighnari blushed. Cyno just smirked as Collei couldn't help but giggle. It was obvious they liked each other.

"is something wrong? Why do you need to talk to me?" Kaveh asked as they were near a Sakura tree behind Uyuu Restaurant. "nothings wrong, in fact the Sakura are rather beautiful today, aren't they?" Alhaitham smiled "yes they are, sometimes I feel so happy here, once in awhile the Sakura make me feel like I'm in an ever transient dream where nothing stays the same expect for the sakuras blooming color every Sakura season, since for as long as the sun rises and sets they'll always be there. No matter what!" Kaveh smiled taking a falling Sakura petal into his hand as he stepped forward admiring the array of colors the sunset created." And that's why..." Alhaitham stepped forward, beside Kaveh grabbing his hand.

"I want to be with you. No matter what." Alhaitham added as Kaveh blushed a peachy pink like the shade the sakuras were because of the sunset. Alhaitham moved a little closer to Kaveh as they turned around to face each other.

Kaveh lifted his head a little to meet Alhaitham eyes. Kaveh blushed but realized what was about to happen.

Their lips touched, and they started kissing. At this point Kaveh was as red as a tomato but enjoyed the happiness Alhaitham always gave him. He really did love Alhaitham didn't he? The kiss felt warm and made Kaveh happy, Alhaitham noticed Kaveh closed his eyes embarrassed but happy, so Alhaitham just smiled at the red face Kaveh had made since he was blushing so hard.

They stopped kissing, as Kaveh couldn't handle it. "So, what's your answer?" Alhaitham asked smirking at Kavehs cute embarrassed reaction.

"What answer?" Kaveh asked trying to regain some sort of normal face besides looking like a tomato.

"remember, I told you I love you and I asked if you loved me and I agreed to wait for your answer so, do you know?" Alhaitham asked. "I-I.... I think we should go inside!" Kaveh said flustered walking away. Kaveh came to a stop and put a hand on his mouth.

"I-I I guess... Forget it..." Kaveh mumbled embarrassed entering Uyuu restaurant with Alhaitham.
