Chapter 34

Sweet Summer Fireworks

It was now the summer festival as people were in the streets of Inazuma getting ready to have a good time. Yoimiya ended up showing Kaveh her favorite place to watch fireworks which was the same place she showed the traveler.

Collei tried on the kimono given to her by Ayaka and Yoimiya, it was quite nice with beautiful flower patterns some resembling sumeran flowers and sakuras. Tighnari tried on the kimono and haori as well as Cyno they convinced Alhaitham to try it on but, Alhaitham being the bland and boring guy he is decided to not wear it and instead wear his usual clothes.

Kaveh on the other hand being expressive and colorful as ever decided to get a colorful Kimono with a nice haori making fun of Alhaitham for being boring. Again.

Kaveh put his hair in a messy bun on the side with a little Sakura clip in it with his signature aqua blue feather added on. Alhaitham once again, stayed the same. And Kaveh. Made fun of him. Again.

"Alhaitham!" Kaveh exclaimed pointing at a stall. "yes?" Alhaitham asked. "Yoimiya told me goldfish ate cute! And look! A goldfish stall! Let's go try to catch one! I haven't caught one ever!" Kaveh grinned running towards the stall, grabbing Alhaithams hand not caring if he said yes or no.

Once they made it to the stall it was already past noon, and Kaveh... Was way too persistent. He tried over and over again just to get one. Tighnari got one fairly quickly.

"it's easy Kaveh! Let me help y-" Tighmarin offered help but... "No! I have to this. by. My. Self!" Kaveh persisted until he finally got the beautiful golden orange gold fish.

"Yoimiya! I challenge you to an onikabutou Duel!" Shouted a man. Kaveh turned around staring at the white haired man with red horns. "boss..." Kuki groaned. "Whats this it to? Trying to steal snacks from kids again?" Yoimiya grinned. "not this again..." Kaveh groaned furrowing his eyebrows. "what's going on...?" Alhaitham asked confused by the ordeal. "hold this. They're having a onikabutou duel, that's Numeru Uno Arataki Itto." Kaveh pointed at Itto giving Alhaitham the plastic bag the goldfish was in walking towards Itto and Yoimiya.

"At least Kaveh has some sense stopping the-" Alhaithams thoughts were interrupted by... "LET ME JOIN! I CHALLENGE YOU ITTO! AND YOU YOIMIYA!" Kaveh exclaimed annoying Alhaitham. "WHAT." Alhaitham stumbled on his words. This was like when Cyno found a worthy opponent to battle in TCG!

They spent a good 30 minutes fighting each other but in the end it was a tie since no one waned to give up. Of course.

"dang it!" Kaveh grit his teeth annoyed at his loss even though it was a tie. "yknow it's a tie right?" Alhaitham asked. "OF COURSE I DO! it's just, I still didn't win fair and square!" Kaveh shouted.

They walked around as Kaveh got a candy apple for him and Alhaitham, Alhaitham didn't want one originally but Kaveh insisted.

"these things are delicious Nari!" Kaveh exclaimed pointing at his candy apple to Tighnari. "Ah, Cyno told me but I didn't get one. Collei wanted one but, I don't want her to get worked up on sweets." Tighnari said. "yup... It sucks!" Collei mumbled. Cyno just continued eating his. "well see ya guys!" Kaveh waved goodbye, the fireworks would begin in a few minutes so before Kaveh gave his goldfish to Yoimiya meanwhile the festival so he would a free hand, and he didn't have a tank while Yoimiya did since she had gotten many goldfish at these festivals multiple times.
