Outlander

Time and space, the slow rolling of the head sitting at the peak of the spine. Lulling back and forth within the dark looking up at the stars, watching the sunrise upon the skyline. Peeking back at me, squinting my eyes at that daunting light. Shadows of my self seen against the whites of the walls around me.

Outlander. In all places lost and found. It's me, the piece that never quite fits. Always making things better but never quite right in any and all situations. Trying to find the person, place, thing that was made for me.

A wanderer amongst the midst, searching the world for all these things. Looking up at the stars I couldn't see before... I think of it all. Hitting me like a hurricane, standing before the lights above me while they judge me. The secrets they know, the love they have seen.

Wearing my heart on my sleeve, ready to take chances if given the opportunity. An outlander among them all that feels home in all places but no place at all.
