••Jen's POV••

I'm talking with Maddie when I hear a knock at the door.

Please don't be him. I just want him to leave me alone.

A man in the hallway yells, "Your limos here Miss. Lawrence!"

"Oh," I sigh, relieved, "It's Chris." I say aloud, not caring if Maddie heard.

When I turned around, Maddie was looking at me weird.

"What?" I say defensively.

"Nothing, just thinking."

She stares at me for a while until we hear the limos horn honk.

"Come on! We gotta go!" I grab Maddie's hand and pull her towards the limousines.

Paparazzi has surrounded them, clogging up the streets. I'm not as worried as I used to be, though. Maddie knows how to handle herself.

We get settled into the limousine.

Maddie's jaw drops. She's been in some nice cars, but none as nice as this.

There is a cooler in front of us with every kind of soda imaginable. Huge speakers line the walls. Even a few flowers in glass vases have made it into the ride.

"Wow." She breathes. "It's..."

I laugh. "Expensive."

She turns and smiles at me, but there's something in her eyes that seems... Afraid? Not stage fright, but it's as if she's genuinely scared for her life.

I pull her into a close hug, not caring if it messes up either of our outfits.

"Madds, you know you can tell me anything, right?"

She nods and turns to the window.

I sigh, and we spend the rest of the ride in silence.

Our driver gets out and opens our doors for us when we arrive.

The restaurant is quite exclusive. I've heard people say they've booked at least 8 months in advance for a seat.

Maddie takes my hand and we head in.

"Maddie!" Willow runs over and almost tackles Maddie to the floor.

I laugh as Sam comes over and gives me a hug, "Nice to see you too Sammy. " I wink and he blushes. He hates it when I call him that, but he knows that's the only reason I do it.

We head over to the long table and I take my seat beside Jena, Maddie sits a few seats down beside Willow.

"Hey, haven't heard from you in a while.." Jena says quietly, trailing off.

I nod my head, "Yeah, I've been kinda busy lately with Nicholas and all."

"Yeah, I get it. " Jena smiled and sipped her soda.

That night was a good night. I talked to the cast and not one of them mentioned me and Josh. Not one of them asked me why I was avoiding looking down at the other end of the table. And not one of them judged me for it.

Yes, we are all actors and they could have just been acting, but I know these people. They're my friends, they're my family, and I love and trust them with all my heart. All of them but one. There's one I will never be able to trust again.

"Excuse me?"

I open my eyes and look up to see my body guard looming over me.
