Mackenzie"Hey there Miss Sheldon," Two-Bit said, walking up to me. "Hey Two-Bit," I said as I fumbled with my car keys. "I was wonderin' how yesterday went with our little JohnnyCakes?" He asked. "Johnny was great, he's really smart," I said. "So will there be another date?" He asked.
"Oh, does Johnny think it was a date? I really just wanted to help," I said. "Nah he doesn't, just wanted to check," He said.
"Well he's a great guy, I know my friend Liv definitely likes him," I said. "I'll talk her up for him," He said. "Perfect," I said. "See ya around!" He said and ran off. I laughed and got into my car. I drove to the store to pick up some cokes and fruit for my Father. I walked down the soda pop isle and grabbed the coke. "Hey, look who it is,"
The heavy New York accent made me know who it was without looking over. "Hi Dallas," I said. "Hey Mackenzie," He said, leaning on the shelves. "How's it goin?"
"Great, thanks," I said. "Funny seeing you two days in a row," He said. "Hilarious," I replied. I set the coke in my basket and looked at him. "So, what's Dallas Winston doing at a grocery store? Doesn't he have a reputation to uphold?" I asked. "Yeah, doin' it right now," He winked, pulling cigarettes out of his pocket.
"Makes sense," I said. "So, your brother beat up Johnny," He said. "I know," I sighed. "I would stop him if I could, really,"
"Well, just wanted to make sure you wouldn't hate me if I taught him a lesson," He said. "Why would you care if I hate you?" I asked. He shrugged. "As long as ya don't kill him, I think he deserves it," I said. "I like you already," He said. I laughed. "Wanna go to dingo? Grab a bite?" He asked. "I'm afraid that is a no go," I said. "My brother would ruin my life,"
I walked over to the fruit and he followed. "Well you're talkin' to me now," He said. "Yes I am," I said. "You see my brother anywhere and I'm a ghost though,"
"Come on, break a rule or two," He said. "And do what?" I asked. "Get put up for adoption because my brothers a tattletale? I don't think so," I laughed. "Go to dingo with me, he doesn't need to know," He said. "Word spreads quick around here Dallas, I'm afraid I can't," I said.
"Call me Dally," He said. "Okay Dally, I will see you around," I said. "Come on, I know you got it in you to do the opposite of what everybody wants from ya," He said. "And how would you know anything about me?" I asked. "I wouldn't, just a feelin' I have," He said. "Well, I have a feelin' that you're bad news, and these little interactions are enough to ruin my life, so that dingos suggestion is gonna have to be declined," I said.
"Alright, I'll try again in a few days," He winked. "I'll reject ya then," I said. "Bye Dallas,"
"Bye Mackenzie,"
Dallas
She walked away with a sway of her hips. Her mini plaid skirt and tight white top sculpted her body perfectly.
If I knew anything at all, it was girls. But I definitely knew one thing for sure, I would make that girl mine, no matter the cost. I laughed to myself and walked out of the store, and back to Bucks.

"Just these," I smiled as I set my basket at the register. I looked at the doors as Dally was leaving and smiled to myself before handing the cashier my money.
"Thanks," I said and took my bags to my car. I set them in the back and drove home. I called Olivia and she came over.
"Where are your folks tonight?" She asked. "Some movie or somethin' I don't know," I said. "I did the extra credit assignment for the test so they can't be mad at me anymore anyway," I said. "I knew you would, you're a little genius," She said and I laughed. "Guess who talked to me today at the store?" I said.
"Who?" She asked. "Dallas Winston," I said. "What? Why?" She said. "I don't know, he tried to get me to go to dingo with him, I said no," I said.
"Our brothers would lose their mind if they knew about that," She said. "Oh I know," I laughed. "I don't know, I kinda like hangin' around the greasers, they're fun," I said. "I do too, so many of 'em are so sweet too," She said. "I know! I don't understand people's hatred for them," I said.
"Like why can't we just exist in peace? We shouldn't have to have the same social class in order to hangout with people," I said. "It's stupid," She said.
"Socs are the ones who always pick fights," I said. "Mainly my brother that is," I added. "Our brothers," She said. "Randy refuses to stand up to Bob, he always just does what he says,"
"I hate him," I said. "Wanna go somewhere?" She asked. "Where?" I asked. "I dunno, dingo, get shakes?" She asked. "Sure, if you drive," I said. "Deal," She said. I put some converse on in place of my doc martens and followed her out to her car.
"Should I get something fancy or something normal?" I asked. "Hmmm I'll get fancy and you get normal then we can split," She said. "Perfect," I said.
We walked in and it was packed. "Oh I forgot about the drag race tonight," She said. "We can get them to go," I shrugged. "Or sit at the bar," I said. "Bar," She said. We walked over and sat down. "Hi Jim," We said. "Hey girls, what can I get ya?" He asked. "I'll take a chocolate shake," I said. "Banana split," Liv told him.
"Coming right up," He said. "Oh no," I said. Dally and his friends had just walked in. "My brothers nowhere to be seen right?" I said. "Haven't seen him," She said.
Dally and his friends came over to the bar. "I'm startin' to think you're following me," Dally said. "You do know I was here first right?" I said, not looking up from the counter. He laughed and sat down next to me. "Is this the girl you've been talkin' about Dal?"
I turned around and Sodapop was standing there with a grin on his face. "Hey Sodapop," I said. "Hey Kenzie," He said.
"You two know eachother?" Dally asked. "We had gym together," I said. "Hey Johnny," Olivia said. "Why don't you come sit with us? All of you can," I said. "Sure," Sodapop said. We almost wrapped around the whole bar.
"So," Dally said. "You aren't scared of your brother walking in at any second?" He asked. "Oh I am," I said. "But I want my shake and I figured you wouldn't leave,"
He smirked at me. "Go out with me," He said. "We met yesterday," I said. "That's not a no," He said. "I thought you were gonna wait a few more days for me to reject you," I said. "I was but you're here and I'm hot so why not?" He said. "I guess I have to reject you early then," I said.
"Here are your shakes," Jim said. "Thanks," I said. "Your friend and Johnny seem like they're hittin' it off," He said.
"Yeah," I said. "You wish you could say the same don't you," I said. He just laughed at me. "Hey Liv, I'm gonna get home, you stay though," I said to her. "Are you sure?" She asked. "Positive," I said. "Call me tomorrow,"
"I'll take you home," Dally said. "You can't be seen within 2 feet of my house," I said as I poured my shake into a to go cup.
"Alright I'll park at the end of the street, come on," He said. "Okay fine," I said. I followed him out to his car and we got in. "This doesn't mean anything," I said. "Okay," He said. "Like I can't be like normal friends who hangout because if I did that then things could get messy," I said. "Then let's not be normal friends," He said. "Okay," I said. "I was trying to say let's be somethin else man," He said.
"Oh I know, but you're getting ahead of yourself Winston, we met yesterday," I said. "Fine, next week," He said. "Maybe, maybe not," I said. "Turn left,"
"What about your usual swarm of girls?" I asked. "What about 'em?" He asked. "I'm not going to be one of them," I said. "Alright, whatever you say man," He said. "Right," I said. "Park at that corner,"
He did as I said. "Thanks for the ride," I said.
