It's wrong, but she is mine! (Jayfeather X Female Reader)

Chapter 3

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Highrock for a clan meeting!" Firestars voice echoed throughout the hollow. Y/L/N was already sitting outside the medicine cat den so she just padded over to the area of the clearing where the other cats were gathering. She sat beside Jaypaw and his siblings, excitedly twitching in her spot as all the warriors and apprentices in the hollowed gathered around. Firestar looked down upon his clan, and began speaking. "I'm sure you've all met the loner that Jaypaw helped, Y/L/N" He said, and Y/L/N could hear the other cats agree with their leader between themselves. "Well, she had expressed her wish to join Thunderclan, and I have agreed to honor this wish. Y/L/N" He announced, motioning for the loner to step forward. Y/L/N did so, still having her excitement showing in her pawsteps. "Y/L/N, you have chosen to join Thunderclan and thus you will become an apprentice. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Y/A/N. Your mentor will be Brightheart. I hope Brightheart will pass down all she knows onto you." Firestar then motioned for Brightheart to step forward, and the one-eyed warrior came up beside Y/A/N.

"Brightheart, you are ready to take on an apprentice. You have received excellent training from Whitestorm, and you have shown yourself to be skilled and determined. You will be the mentor of Y/A/N, and I expect you to pass on all you know to Y/A/N" Y/A/N padded up to her new mentor to touch noses with her, as Jaypaw had explained how an apprentice ceremony goes the previous night. As Y/A/N touched noses with Brightheart, she could hear the rest of the clan chant her new name, "Y/A/N! Y/A/N! Y/A/N!". This made the new apprentice swell with pride, hearing everyone else accept her into the clan. Firestar dismissed the clan meeting so Y/A/N decided to pad over to where Jaypaw was. "Hey Jaypaw!" She said as she approached him, and he turned to face her. "Hey Y/A/N, congrats on becoming an apprentice" He said, and Y/A/N felt happier, hearing it come from Jaypaw. "Just don't injure yourself, I don't want to have to take care of you constantly" Jaypaw said, although Y/A/N thought she could sense some kind of sarcasm in Jaypaws words, as if he did enjoy spending time with Y/A/N. Y/A/N watched Jaypaw head to the medicine den and disappear into it.

Y/A/N heard a cat padding up behind her, so she turned around and saw Hollypaw, Jaypaws sister, padding up. "Hey, congratulations Y/A/N!" She said. "Thanks Hollypaw!" Y/A/N replied back. "Follow me, I'll show you the apprentice den!" Hollypaw said, and so Y/A/N followed the other she-cat apprentice to the apprentice den, and Hollypaw showed Y/A/N the nest that was made for her. "Oh, you guys didn't have to make my nest for me" Y/A/N said, seeing the nest that Hollypaw showed her. "Well, we always make the first nest of any new apprentice." Hollypaw said. "I can't wait to start training with you Y/A/N!" 

Y/A/N watched Hollypaw leave the apprentice den, and after looking around her new sleeping place for a moment, Y/A/N also left the den, stepping back out into the clearing that was bustling with warriors chatting and eating fresh-kill that the hunting patrols had brought back. Y/A/N started padding towards the fresh-kill pile before being intercepted by Hollypaw, who was now holding a vole. She motioned for Y/A/N to follow her to where Lionpaw and Jaypaw were, and set the vole down. "Come share some fresh-kill with us" She said, to which Y/A/N obliged and sat down with the three. They shared the couple pieces of fresh-kill that they grabbed. Y/A/N happily shared the fresh-kill with them, but Jaypaw somehow sensed some uneasiness from the former loner, asking "Hey, something wrong?". Y/A/N looked up at the medicine cat apprentice, swallowing the bite of vole she had taken. "Well, I guess I'm a bit nervous. What if I mess up too badly or something?" She said. Hollypaw and Lionpaw shared a glance at eachother, then began giggling. Y/A/N looked at them confused, then Hollypaw piped in "I guess Jaypaw never told you that we went fox hunting when we were kits" She said. "Uh, no? That seems like some adventure, and I'd guess kind of dumb if you were kits"

"Yeah. A patrol had found a dead fox in a trap, and scented milk on it so everyone figured that it had kits somewhere. If the kits were old enough then they could pose a problem to the clan so even though Firestar had sent out patrols to find them and drive the foxes out we decided we wanted to help so me, Lionpaw, and Jaypaw snuck out of the hollow and tracked down the fox kits ourselves. We ended finding them, and decided to enter, thinking they might not be that old. But we guessed wrong as these foxes were bigger we were! We all fled, me and Lionpaw found Thornclaws patrol and they helped us. But Jaypaw separated from us and ended up getting into the hollow, by falling from a ledge into it! Fortunately he didn't end up breaking any bones or suffering any major injuries. We definitely thought we'd never become apprentices after that. Firestar did give us the punishment of having to tell Ferncloud whenever we left the nursery, and we still became apprentices at six moons, so I think you have nothing to worry bout. Most common punishment for messing up is cleaning the elders den and getting rid of their ticks and fleas for about a moon" Y/A/N smiled at hearing the story of the siblings crazy adventure. She looked over at Jaypaw, who seemed to sense her stare and gazed his blind eyes over to Y/A/N, which made her heat up slightly and she turned away. Hollypaw noticed Y/A/N's behavior and smiled, which the other she-cat didn't notice. The group finished sharing the meal and headed off in their own directions, with Y/A/N watching Jaypaw head over to the medicine cat den, not noticing Hollypaw watch her and talking with Lionpaw by the apprentices den.

Y/A/N shook her head and got up, going over to the apprentice den herself. Hollypaw and Lionpaw had stopped looking at her by the time she noticed them, so Y/A/N didn't think anything of the two talking to each other as she went inside. She decided to go to sleep early, excited to start her apprentice training the next day with Brightheart. She circled around and curled up in her nest, closing her eyes and drifting off to sleep.
