Y/L/N was just waking up in her nest, yawning and stretching out her limbs. She looked around he little den which was inside an old fox's burrow, but she never minded the old fox smell.

She had been here for a few moons, and had found the area pretty decent for hunting, so she had decided that the burrow was the best place she could get for a den. It didn't seem like whatever fox had been here was going to come back, so she figured it was safe.

Y/L/N didn't remember much of her past, maybe a scent of her mother, but that was it. Her earliest clear memory was wandering around a forest, and being chased of by other loners wherever she went. It took her a few days to learn how to hunt, especially since she had no one to help teach her, but she managed.

Fighting wasn't something she had any skill at either, but she just compensated that skill with not going near any cats at all. She figured if she doesn't go near any cats or animals, then she wouldn't have to fight, right?

I guess I should get something to eat Y/L/N thought, blinking away her sleep and leaving the burrow. She stalked through the undergrowth, looking for any kind of prey that she could eat.

It didn't take long before she found a possible meal, a mouse nibbling on some grass, unaware of the she-cats presence. She dropped into her hunters crouch and carefully stalked forward, making sure to not make any noise before she was able to get close enough and pounce, landing on the mouse and pinning it, killing it with a swift bite to the neck.

Perfect! She thought I'm getting better at this! She carried her fresh-kill back to her burrow and then began eating it, remembering how hard it was to even hunt something as simple as a mouse before.

Once Y/L/N had finished her meal, she got up and left again, this time going for a walk. She liked to go for a walk every day, as to keep her strength up.

She walked around what she considered to be her territory, a little area which no other animal seemed to inhabit and soon enough she made it to a small clearing, where the sun shone down through the trees.

Y/L/N liked to bask here and practice her hunting moves, which seemed to get better and better. She was happy with this, a nice routine to her life, and she couldn't imagine it changing by much, and that was fine with the loner.

(Sorry this is a bit short, I hope I can make the other chapters longer, this is just to explain you a bit before you meet Jayfeather lol)
