Jaypaw woke up in the forest, inside Thunderclan territory. He looked around, realizing he was dreaming. He padded around to see if there might be any Starclan cats around, hoping to get an answer about if Y/A/N would ever wake up. He searched all around the forest, but no Starclan cats were to be seen. Jaypaw was disappointed, as he desperately wanted an answer. He padded down to the lake, down at the shore. Jaypaw sighed and looked up into the expanse of water.

As Jaypaw looked at the lake, he could feel the wind change direction. He thought nothing of it until he caught a scent of a familiar she-cat. Y/A/N?  He thought, confused. He padded over to where it had come from and saw Y/A/N facing a small badger kit, with two kits running off. Badger? Wasn't she already injured from one.....  Jaypaw thought, then realized something; He was dreamwalking into Y/A/Ns dream! His chest filled with happiness as it meant that she would live, but watching the scene unfold in front of him was heartbreaking. The badger attack was replaying over and over, as if Y/A/N couldn't stop thinking and dreaming about it.

Jaypaw decided to pad over, hoping that if her interfered with the memory, maybe it would stop and he could talk to Y/A/N. As the adult badger slammed the she-cat into the tree, Jaypaw padded over and pawed Y/A/Ns muzzle. Luckily for the medicine cat apprentice, he was correct. The badgers vanished and Y/A/N got up, the wounds seemingly gone. She looked at Jaypaw.

"Jaypaw? Wh-what are you doing here?" She asked. Jaypaw sat down and signaled for the she-cat to do the same. "I'm here because I'm worried about you" He said, looking into Y/A/Ns eyes. She stared back, confused. "Really? You've never said anything like that before.... Also how did you know I was here and why does it seem like you aren't blind anymore?" Jaypaw took a moment, grappling with if he should tell her. But thinking about her waking body, lying in the medicine cat den, made him want to.

"Well, it's going to take a bit of explaining" Jaypaw said, getting comfortable in his spot. "Ok, so a while ago, before me, Hollypaw, and Lionpaw were born, Firestar had gotten a prophecy. There will be three, kin of your kin, who hold the power of the stars in their paws.  We figured out mine and Lionpaws power so far. Lionpaw can't be injured at all, no matter what it's from. As for me, I can dreamwalk into other cats dreams, see inside a dream, and read minds and feelings" The tom explained, then gauged Y/A/Ns reaction. She was silent for a little while before piping up. "So, have you read my mind at all?" She asked, kind of quietly. Jaypaw nodded. "It's kind of how I beat you in training. It's the sense I was talking about" He said, but Y/A/N shook her head. "Not the training. Have you read it at any point when we did something together, like collected herbs or shared fresh-kill?"

Jaypaw realized what she was talking about, and turned away. He had read her mind a couple times, but had stopped for a while when he realized what her feelings about him were. But now he felt incredibly bad about it, and Y/A/N wasn't saying anything. He looked over at the she-cat, who seemed to be hiding her face. "Uh, Y/A/N, you ok?" He asked, tapping her with his tail. The she-cat didn't do anything for a moment, then blurted out an "Im sorry!" and looked up at Jaypaw.

Jaypaw could see tears streaming down the she-cats face. "I-I know medicine cats can't mates, and I sh-shouldn't have thought about it, but it's j-just that you're such a nice cat, a-and I enjoyed spending time with you, no matter what w-we were doing" She cried out. Jaypaw felt bad for the she-cat, and moved up to her to let her lean on him. She did so happily, although the she-cat was now just bawling into Jaypaws fur. "I'm sorry for almost getting killed too" She said once she calmed down a bit more. Jaypaw looked at her, dumbfounded. "Sorry for the badger attack? Y/A/N, you were protecting kits! And besides, I'm not really going to punish you for getting injured. I'm actually happy to take care of you" He said, brushing his tail along Y/A/Ns muzzle, who was still leaking tears from her eyes. "R-really? You like having me around?" She asked with a hopeful look in her eyes.

Jaypaw smiled at the she-cat. "Yes, I do. Since I did read your mind, I'll tell you this. I like you too" The tom said, which left Y/A/N staring at him, mouth agape. She then suddenly nuzzled into the medicine cat apprentice fiercely. "Really? What about the code though?" She asked, at which Jaypaw shrugged "I don't know. But we can figure it out, I guess" He said, and Y/A/N happily snuggled up to him. "By the way, I love your E/C and P/C" Jaypaw said, looking at the she-cat. "Oh right! You can actually see me in a dream!" Then Y/A/N drooped her ears. "Wait, if I'm dreaming, will I remember it when I wake up?" She asked.

Jaypaw thought about it. "Well, why did you actually go for a walk in the first place? Cloudtail told me that you said you had a weird dream and couldn't sleep" Y/A/N pondered for a moment. "Oh yeah, before I actually came to this area, I had a dream about two kits getting attacked by a badger..." She said, pondering about it. Jaypaw looked at the P/C apprentice. "Wait, you had a vision about the badger before it actually happened?" He asked, dumbfounded. "Uh, yeah? Is there something wrong with that?" She asked nervously. "Well, not something wrong, but it does mean you got a vision, probably from Starclan" He explained to the she-cat. "Well, why did they choose me then? I'm not even a warrior!" "Well, maybe because you might have been the only cat who would have gone over to where the kits were? No cat knows how they choose cats for visions and prophecies" He said.

Y/A/N nodded in understanding. She stretched out. "Well, I've been trying to wake up for a while before you got here. I had honestly thought I was dead" Y/A/N said. Jaypaw thought for a bit. "I don't know if I can help. I'm still learning about my powers so I don't know if forcing someone awake is a part of dreamwalking" Y/A/N drooped her head. "Wh-what if I can't wake up?" She said sadly. Jaypaw looked at the she-cat "Hey, don't say that" He said, using his tail to guide Y/A/Ns head to look at him. "You're going to wake up, ok? So don't worry" Y/A/N smiled at the toms words. "Thanks Jaypaw"

Suddenly the pair of cats heard footsteps behind them. They turned around to see a dark grey she-cat, looking at them with orange eyes. Jaypaw could see that Y/A/N was very confused on who it was, so Jaypaw spoke up "Yellowfang" He said to the former Thunderclan medicine cat. Y/A/N looked at Jaypaw, then back at Yellowfang. "Wait, you're Yellowfang? Aren't you, uh, dead?" She asked, to which Yellowfang nodded. "Yeah, but I heard that there were two apprentices chatting about breaking a code in a dream" She said. Y/A/N flattened her ears but Jaypaw was carefully studying Yellowfangs expression. "Really Yellowfang? You expect me to believe you cared enough about that? Why are you actually here?" He said, having encounteres the ancestor enough to know her. Yellowfang smiled at Jaypaw.

"Well, that was short-lived. But yeah, I'm just here to help Y/A/N" She said, and padded up to the she-cat apprentice. Y/A/N looked up at Yellowfang, and the medicine cat just touched the apprentices nose and Y/A/N seemed to have vanished. "There, now she should be awake" Yellowfang said, turning to Jaypaw. "And I'm going to hold this favor over you" She said, before leaving the tom.

Jaypaw smiled as Yellowfang left, grateful for her help as his own vision went dark, indicating that he was waking up as well.
