It's wrong, but she is mine! (Jayfeather X Female Reader)

Chapter 15

A couple days have passed and Y/A/N had finally been cleared to resume her warrior training. In fact, Brightheart let her take her warrior assessment to see if she's learned enough at this point since her fight with the badgers.

Currently the apprentice was stalking through the undergrowth, having scented a vole and followed the scent to where the prey was seemingly nibbling on something. Y/A/N carefully dropped into a hunters crouch and stalked towards her prey, staying downwind of the vole and taking advantage of it being distracted, allowing the apprentice to quickly dart in and snap its neck, killing it.

Y/A/N buried the fresh-kill under a tree, marking it so she could bring it back to camp later. She then went back out into the forest, scenting around for anything else. She wandered throughout Thunderclan territory, looking for anything else that she could hunt and bring back, all the while Y/A/N was hoping she was doing a good enough job for her assessment.

The she-cat wandered around the territory, not seeing much of anything for a bit. Y/A/N started to think that she would have to head back with what she's already caught, a little worried that it might not be enough, and after a little longer of searching, Y/A/N was able to find and catch a squirrel, although it almost squirmed out of her claws when she pounced on it.

Y/A/N headed back to the hollow with the squirrel, vole, a couple of mice, and hoped that Brightheart would think it was enough. The apprentice pushed through the barrier to the entrance and padded over to the fresh-kill pile, adding what she had caught to it.

Y/A/N turned around and was met with Hollyleaf padding up to her. "Hey Y/A/N! How was your warrior assessment?" The warrior asked.  "I think I did okay...." Y/A/N responded, a little nervous about it. Hollyleaf brushed her tail over Y/A/Ns head "Don't worry, I'm sure you did fine! You'll be a warrior soon enough!" The other she-cat assured Y/A/N, who smiled at her friends words.

"Thanks Hollyleaf" She said. Y/A/N grabbed a couple pieces of fresh-kill. "I'm going to take this to Longtail and Mousefur" She said and padded away to the elders den. She entered it and heard the two elder cats talking to each other. They stopped when they noticed the apprentice. "Hey Y/A/N" Mousefur greeted. "Is that for us?" She asked when she noticed the fresh-kill in Y/A/N's jaws.

The apprentice nodded and dropped the fresh-kill in front of the two cats. "Thanks Y/A/N" Longtail said, scenting the fresh-kill before digging in and eating. "So, when are you going to become a warrior?" Mousefur asked Y/A/N, who responded with "Hopefully today, I did my warrior assessment." 

"I'm sure you did a good job" Mousefur purred as she took a bite of fresh-kill of her own. Longtail nodded in agreement. "Thanks Mousefur" Y/A/N said, then heard Firestars voice, calling out a clan meeting. "Well, you should get going now. That's probably for you" Mousefur said, and Y/A/N quickly padded out of the elders den.

Once the apprentice was in the clearing, pretty much every other cat in the clan was out there already, gathered beneath the highrock. Y/A/N padded over and sat next to Jaypaw, who glanced at her with his blind gaze when she sat down. "So, do you think I'll be a warrior now?" Y/A/N asked the blind tom. "I'm sure Firestar will make you one now, stop worrying so much" Jaypaw assured the she-cat, brushing his tail along her back.

Firestar quieted the clan down, than began speaking "Today we are holding a warrior ceremony for our ex-loner apprentice, Y/A/N. She has passed her warrior training, as well as taken on a badger and fought well against it" Firestar then motioned for the she-cat to step forward.

Y/A/N did so, excitement showing in her pawsteps and tail movements. "Y/A/N, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?" Firestar asked, looking at Y/A/N. She nodded, saying "I do!" in response. "Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Y/A/N, from this moment on you will be know as Y/W/N" He said, finishing the ceremony. 

Y/W/N puffed out her chest, happily and proudly as the clan chanted her new warrior name "Y/W/N! Y/W/N! Y/W/N!" Once it died down and the meeting was dismissed, Hollyleaf met Y/W/N as the new warrior was padding away. "Congrats Y/W/N! I knew you'd become a warrior today!" She said, which made Y/W/N puff out her fur a bit proudly.

"Thanks Hollyleaf" She said, then noticed Jaypaw just entering the medicine cat den. She watched the tom disappear into the den, then heard Hollyleaf snicker. Y/W/N turned to her friend. "Whats funny?" She asked, even if she could probably guess what was so funny to the other she-cat.

"Oh, just you staring at Jaypaw is all. You're not that good at hiding your feelings" She teased, making Y/W/Ns pelt heat up. She playfully pushed Hollyleaf with her paw "Shut up, I can't help that I like him" She said "Well, you could try to hide it better. He is a medicine cat after all and isn't supposed to have a mate"

Y/W/N shrugged "Well, I think I'll be fine. You and Lionblaze seem to be the only ones who know, but you three are siblings so you guys would notice something like that easier than any other cat" 

"I guess so. But you also have Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw to worry about if that's your reasoning for me and Lionblaze noticing. And Brambleclaw is clan deputy, so you might wanna try a bit harder at not showing it" Hollyleaf said before padding away from Y/W/N.

Y/W/N watched her friend leave, thinking about what she had said. That is a good point.... But they haven't noticed anything yet, so I still think I'm doing a good enough job  The warrior thought as she padded over to the warriors den, deciding to go to sleep a little earlier than usual, as she was excited to finally be a Thunderclan warrior.
