I woke up to the orange sunlight streaming through the curtains, gently caressing my face. My eyes fluttered open, and I found myself in a hotel room in France.

We had just arrived from the airport, and everyone in the family was exhausted from the long travel. I decided to take a quick nap, hoping it would rejuvenate me for the adventures that awaited us in this romantic city.

His broad shoulders and toned arms were a testament to the hours he spent working out, and I couldn't help but feel a surge of adoration and love for him. His chest rose and fell rhythmically with each breath, a sight that made my heart flutter. Hindi ko mapigilang isipin na sobrang lucky ko to have him by my side on this trip. Buti nga at sumama siya.

This is actually the first time I brought someone over in our family trip. Shaniel did so, years ago. Clifford was able to join us then. And Steve, too. It's unfortunate that Michelle is not here today. Mukhang hindi pa rin sila nagkakaayos. I'm actually not totally agreeing with the idea of them getting back together after that time in the club. However, I have no say about it, really.

Since we were kids, we already promised each other na we will only bring our boyfriends or girlfriends on family trips if we are sure of them to be a part of our family. It became a deal sa aming magpipinsan.

I feel so sure about Hadzri that's why I brought him with me.

May kaunting takot pa rin sa puso ko na... baka katulad ni Shaniel at Steve...

Ugh, fuck.

I don't want to think about it right now. Basta, sigurado ako sa kaniya ngayon. Siya ang mahal ko. At gusto kong pang habang buhay na.

My gaze then shifted to the balcony, where the alluring view of the City of Love beckoned me. I couldn't resist the urge to explore it further. Gagala talaga ako nang wagas bukas!

Marahan akong umalis sa kama, dahan dahan na inialis ang pagkakadagan ng braso ng kasintahan sa akin. I made careful movements, refusing to wake him up from his deep slumber.

As I stepped onto the balcony, the cool breeze brushed against my skin, carrying with it the sweet scent of freshly baked croissants from the nearby boulangerie. The sound of laughter and clinking glasses from a nearby café filled the air, creating a symphony of life that was uniquely Parisian.

Hapon na pero sobrang ligalig pa rin ng buong syudad. It isn't sleeping any time soon.

Paris, with its timeless charm and enchanting beauty, was a stark contrast to the bustling chaos of Manila. The city seemed to breathe art and history, every cobblestone street telling a story of its own. It was as if time had stood still, allowing the city to preserve its romantic essence. The Eiffel Tower, a symbol of love, stood tall in the distance, its iron frame glistening under the setting sun.

Nanliit ang mga mata ko habang nakatingin doon. I really wanted to go inside the tower. Yayayain ko nga sila mamaya. Ang tagal kong pinag-iponan! Isa ako sa pinaka excited when we were told na magpa-Paris kami this year.

As I stood there, taking in the breathtaking view, I couldn't help but draw a comparison between Paris and Manila. While the Philippine capital was vibrant and full of life, it often struggled to maintain its historical charm amidst the rapid urbanization. Naalala ko pa yung condo na itinayo sa vicinity ng view ng monument ni Rizal. It really ruined the picturisque quality of the area. Paris, on the other hand, seemed to have mastered the art of balancing tradition and modernity, creating a harmonious blend that was both captivating and inspiring.
