Chapter 14

I yawned as I stood in line next to the other Lost Boys. A horn had awoken me from my sleep and I was ordered to gather around along with the other boys. I looked around sleepily, the other Lost Boys looked sleepy too.

"What's going on?" I asked Nate who stood next to me, rubbing his eyes to stay awake.

Suddenly a loud voice boomed over all of the murmurs, silencing us.

"Silence!!!" Pan ordered.

He looked pissed off. The Lost Boys glanced at each other. My eyes widened slightly as Pan's eyes searched the crowd and then landed on me.

"There has been an incident." Pan announced, his eyes not leaving mine.

Oh great. He thinks I'm responsible for whatever happened. I gulped and tried to keep my expressions neutral.

"Coil is in the nursery, unconsious. Bill found him while they guarded the campus and he's sure that one of you tried to prank them again. A prank, that has gone horribly wrong." He continued to explain, his eyes sliding over the crowd.

Mumbling started again and I noticed that there was someone missing.

Jade.

I started panicking but tried to hide it. Bowing over to Nate I whispered.

"Where's Felicity?"

Nate looked around and his eyes widened as they met mine.

"You don't think that she-" Nate asked.

"Shit Felicity!" I cursed.

What was she doing outside at night?! She couldn't have started with her escape plan, it was too early and otherwise she would have told me.

But what is she up to then?
I thought.

"SILENCE!" Pan's voice boomed over the mumbles that had now turned into talking.

Everybody shut up immediately and looked at him.

"I want to know what kind of sick prank this is and who's idea it was. Now!" He looked around again, his eyes resting on me for two seconds longer.

I gulped but tried to stand my ground.

"You." Pan said, pointing in my direction.

Shit.

He walked over to me and looked deeply into my eyes.

"You wouldn't happen to have anything to do with this, would you?" Pan questioned.

"No." I simply said, not lying.

Pan stared into my eyes and suddenly an emotion filled them, he looked around frantically and looked in my direction again.

"Where is the girl?" He asked, looking calm.

My breathing quickened and I started to feel hot. Dammit Jade, if you have anything to do with this-

"Where is Felicity?!" Pan shouted, snapping me out of my trance.

"I don't know!" I quickly replied.

Pan chuckled evilly, running his hand over his mouth and pinching the side of it.

I glanced over at Nate who looked at me. He looked concerned too.

All of a sudden, one of the younger lost boys pointed to the black gates of the campus.
Everyone looked towards them and some gasped, my eyes widening in the process as they landed on Jade.
She carefully walked on the Lost Boy territory where she stopped. Pan walked towards her.
