My breathing was heavy as sweat formed on the surface of my skin and trickled down my forehead. My arms were burning, but I wasn't going to give up. Gasps were heard all around me as I slowly moved forward. Expressions of surprise, happiness and disbelief formed on most of the Lost Boys' faces.

I felt power and freedom fill my body as I slowly but steadily made another step forwards. My whole weight was leaning on the two cruches that were placed under my armpits. One cruch gave away slightly though, causing me to bend to my right. My mother's hands immediately caught me and helped me on my feet as Felix's hands steadied the cruch again. I glanced at them.

"I'm alright. I can manage." I reasured them.

My mother let go off me once again and I continued moving. Happiness filling me even more.

Now, you might be wondering how I got up on my feet. Well, to tell you the truth, I don't know. I guess the anger and disappointment I felt when I heard about Nate's condition, gave me power to continue and try to walk again. And I finally did it. Of course, I can't walk normally yet as you must have figured out, but I can take small steps as I'm moving like a turtle towards my destination.

All of a sudden, Alek walked out of his cabin. His eyes moved around the camp and confusion formed on his beautiful features as he stared at the flabbergasted Lost Boys before his eyes eventually landed on me. Shock and surprise took over, his mouth gaping open slightly.
I looked away and continued moving on. My eyes fell to the ground and I focused on the steps that lay before me. But I didn't come far before two feet appeared in front og me, forcing me to look up again into Alek's eyes.

"You...What...How?" He stammered as he took my appearance in.

Everything. From my head to my toes.

"Yes, I finally got to my feet. Big surprise. Now can you please move? I have somewhere to go to." I spoke up annoyed.

I was still hurt by the fact that he hadn't visited me even once the past few weeks. If he was in my condition, I would have visited him every single day. I thought we had grown closer and that we cared about each others well being but appearantly, I had thought wrong.
I pushed passed Alek who seemed nailed to the ground as our shoulders brushed.

I managed to walk to the clearing where the training area was set up, this time on a much faster pace. Salvation and proudness boiled up inside of me as I walked closer and closer to the "entrance" of the training area. But once I had walked into the clearing, the emotions vanished.
I let my eyes search the area until they landed upon Nate.

He was standing by the punching bags, beating up a  thick bag with a faded jean blue colour. He hit it perfectly and with full force every time as his legs stood shoulder wide apart. His pink lips were pursed and his eyes were fixated on the punching bag that came swinging at him after every punch. He hadn't noticed me standing a few feet away from him.
After what felt like forever, he stopped punching it and held the punching bag still in his hands. He leaned his sweaty forehead against it as he closed his eyes.

"Well aren't you in need of a break?" I spoke up after a bit, causing his head to snap in my direction quickly, his eyes locking with mine.

What shocked me was the emptiness and dullness that they held but as soon as he realised who had walked into the clearance, his eyes filled with disbelief. An emotion I had been all too familiar with after my slow walk through the camp with so many pairs of eyes staring at me. Nate pushed himself off of the punching bag and turned his whole body towards me as he looked me up and down, not knowing what to say. But the punching bag came back and swung right into his body, causing him to stumble aside and snapping him out of his trance. As soon as he had found his balance and had glared at the bag, he turned back to me.
