ZEN

I can't believe I left training for this. Ugh, so many people and the whole thing hasn't even started yet...

I downed a sip from my drink as I observed the place around me. Not much had changed around here from what I could remember. The fairy territory always used to be one of
the most colorful places on the island anyways. My eyes fell on the clothing that clothed my body as I placed the glass on top of the table next to me.

Seriously, what was Grace thinking giving me one of these? My usual training uniform would fit just fine for the occasion.

''I have become a nightmare!''

I frowned at the thought. I still couldn't believe I had to spit out all this crap just for a damn ritual. It's not like he could have just kept it sort and simple. No, he had to go and make the edgiest of rituals in all known existence, just like he's some sort of book villain.
I could clearly feel the difference in my power though. I just hoped I had enough time to prepare.

Everywhere I looked, I saw the faces of either Lost Boys or Fairies just fooling around. I could feel a slight sense of irritation and awkwardness overflow me.

I'm not meant for parties!
It's strange though. I can't seem to recognise any of the fairies or the boys here.

A sigh left my lips and I lowered my head before mechanically reaching for my drink with my left hand.

Mother and daughter alike. They are both so kind to me. For some weird reason of their's...

Just as I was about to take a sip from my drink, my eyes fell upon a familiar fairy standing a few feet away from me. Her green eyes were wide open as she stared down at me in shock, almost frozen in place. I knew this fairy. How could I ever forget her? I've known her all my life...

"Zen." She breathed out.

"Hello there, Tinky." I said and a slight smile found it's way to my lips.

She smiled back at me.

"I can't believe it. It is you." Tink breathed out.

"It's been quite a while, hasn't it?" I replied.

"It sure has." She laughed slightly, taking a few steps my way and crossing her arms over her chest.

"How have you been?" Tink asked, her infamous glint in her eyes.

"It's, kind of a long, dark and painful story, with a slight sense of misery. But all that matters is I'm here and I'm good. " I explained.

Might have gone a little too hard on the truth there...

"But I'm sure many interesting things have happened in my absence. How are you and the rest of the fairies? " I added.

Tinks eyes sadened slightly, glancing away at the decoration for a moment.

What did I say about being awful at social interaction? Yeah...

"Busy, as always. We've all had our dark times but that's behind us now.  Let's just focus on the good times that are going on." She replied.

"You people really went through a lot to set the place up this time." I changed the subject, looking at the decoration around us.

"Yeah, I guess we got inspired. Maybe Jade and Grace's return played a big role in the lust for colour and lifeness." Tinkerbell said, smiling.

"Yea, the two of them really are...interesting. That's for sure." I hesitated for a moment.

How am I even supposed to describe a mad daughter and a desperate witch mother duo?
