JADE
Sunlight peeked through the crack in the wooden wall and shone upon my face as consiousness overtook me. I groaned and rolled over in bed to avoid the sunlight but ended up falling on the floor of my cabin instead.
Of course, with my clumsiness and luck how could that not happen...?
I planted the palms of my hands on either side of my body and lifted myself up off of the floor. That is when I fully opened my eyes and looked around my cabin. I scratched the back of my head and let out a yawn before closing my eyes and wishing for some new clothes.
After my change into a pair of black jeans and a light green crop top along with black Nikes, I walked towards my cabin door, opening it and walking onto the camp.
The Lost Boys were everywhere, eating lunch. They seemed exhausted from training and it was the first time I'd seen them this silent. Well...it doesn't surprise me actually. No one's gotten over the fact that Sammy died about a week ago. Since his passing, the joy and life that these boys once had, had vanished. Peter hadn't really been in sight for a few days. He had enclosed himself in his cabin. I hadn't stumbled upon Alek either, he left three days ago for a hunting trip with some Lost Boys. And Nate....
I hadn't seen him since the kiss.
Roy didn't respond when I sat down next to him on a log. Usually, he would growl or glare at me, and then we'd have an argument or something similar. He was one of the eldest Lost Boys on Neverland and he sure was the grumpiest.
"Pass me the chicken." I ordered him and he glanced at me.
He clenched his jaw and then continued on eating as if I hadn't asked him to do anything.
"So much for the kindness..." I muttered and bowed over to grab some chicken from the tray that stood a few feet beside him.
That was my breakfast.
After that, I helped out at the camp. Cleaning weapons or playing around with the younger Lost Boys. I worked on the rise lands and even got the chance to do a bit of training myself.
A groan left my lips as soon as I layed back on my bed. It was afternoon and the day had passed by quickly since I woke up round midday. I was exhausted!
A sudden knock on my door caught my attention and I sighed before telling the person to come in. The door opened and in walked Alek, causing me to shoot up and fix my hair and clothes."Alek!" I smiled and hugged the tall blonde boy.
Alek hugged me back and chuckled.
"Hey Jadey." He said cheerfully.
"How was the hunting trip?" I asked him as I pulled away, but only so much that my hands were still around his neck and his hands were firmly placed on my hips.
"It was alright. A bit lifeless considering what had happened a day before here but we managed to get a good catch." Alek announced.
"Yeah, the boys here haven't been themselfes either." I sadly informed him.
We stayed silent for a while.
"I've missed you." Said Alek.
I locked eyes with him and couldn't help but let the warmth that his words gave me take over.
"I missed you too Alek." I answered, softly.
Alek then looked away for a split second and gulped.
"I uhm...I was thinking that maybe we could finish our talk, you know, the one we had before Nate got in between everything." Alek suggested.
It took me a moment before I understood what he meant. I remembered the night at the lake when I told Alek about my weird nightmare and how he himself wanted to tell me something.
I remembered how close our faces were.
