"Y-You....you are my father?" I asked, but it came out more as a statement.
Peter smiled slightly, a tear rolling down his cheek.
"Hello my daughter." He said.
I let out a weird noise as my heart shattered to a thousand pieces. Tears started rolling down my cheeks as I looked from my mother to my...father. My hand covered my mouth as I sobbed, not believing that I had been so blind all this time. The eyes, the braveness, the big mouth and the stubborness. The ability to stand up for what I cared and the fighting that I secretly had in me. They all led to one person.
And that person was Peter Pan.
"How, why? Why didn't you tell me earlier? Why were we hidden away, why did you treat me like shit from the day I arrived on this island?! I don't understand!" I choked out in between sobs.
There we were. The three of us. Crying in my cabin as harsh and relieving truths were being revealed.
"Grace and I fell in love the longer she stayed. I love your mother. I always have and I always will. After months of us slowly falling in love, we confessed our feelings to each other which led to more intense stuff. And before we knew it your mother was pregnant with you." Peter confessed.
"We were so happy. Of course, I was too young to have a baby but Snow, Emma, Charming and the rest of our family supported our decision of keeping you. You are what brought us even closer and we love you so so much, Jade. Words can not describe our feelings towards you and each other." My mother continued.
"But why did you leave mom? Why did you leave Peter so that you would live in the real world when your love was so strong?" I questioned, mixed emotions running around inside of me.
"There was a problem. Your mothers pregnancy was shorter than planned. In a short two weeks you were born because there is no time here, one day here is like one month in the real world Jade. So you grew like any normal baby would, just in a matter of days." Peter described.
I listened intently to what he was telling me, letting every word sink in.
"After you were born, more news came in. The shadow explained to me that you would grow until a certain age here. You wouldn't be able to grow old with the person you loved and what about your children? You would be stuck with them and your grandchildren and grand-grandchildren forever. I didn't want that life for you. That is not living. So I decided to take you to the real world, so that you could grow like any other child. So that you could live a normal life." My mother explained.
"But why didn't you tell me about my father?" I asked.
"Because you would want to come back, and we couldn't let that happen. The "prophacy" would come true and that wasn't the future we wanted for you." Explained Peter, who was now sat down on the bed, beside my mother.
They were holding hands.
"I did end up here though." I pointed out.
"Yes. And we still don't know why my shadow took you here. Especially since it knew our wishes on this subject. It still brought you back." Announced Peter.
I stared into space for a short amount of time. Thinking. Processing.
All this news confused me, but at the same time, it cleared up a lot of my childhood suspense. All those questions were now answered, but led to new questions once again.
"Then we should go after the shadow. Confront it." I spoke up softly but resolute.
I glanced at my parents who were staring at me with tears in their eyes.
