PETER

A scream of pain left Zen's lips as the blade of my dagger slit through the flesh of his upper arm.

"Shut up." I muttered sternly, punching him in his guts.

Turning my back towards him, my grip around my dagger tightened and I wondered, how could he not fight back? A few days ago, all he desired was beating the crap out of me before killing me and now, he just stood there, taking every beat, every slice that I threw or made. The only response coming from him were screams and whimpers.

I do admit, the torturing was something I had missed. It was something that only my past self had done and enjoyed.
And yet, Zen's responses were not what I craved. I wanted a bit more action and I knew I could get it by angering him.

"Stand up for yourself you useless pig!!" I yelled infuriated, turning around to face Zen.

My eyes widened at my words though. Did my voice just sound way lower than it's supposed to be?

"Fight back you-" I stopped shouting and cleared my throat.

I was right. My voice did get lower.

Zen grinned evilly to the ground. I clenched my jaw and before I knew it, my hand shot up in the air, slapping him hard across his pale face.

"What are you laughing at you sack of shit?" I said, freaked out by the tone of my voice.

It almost sounded like that of a man...not that my normal voice wasn't low but at least it wasn't that low.

"It's leaving you Pan." Zen spoke up.

"What's leaving me?" I growled.

"Your youth. Your powers. It was only a matter of time, since Shadow attacked you."

I looked away from him, puzzled. What did he mean by "it was a matter of time since Shadow attacked you"? Why were my powers leaving me? I was healed, I could use them...I couldn't age, not any more!

"It was only for a moment, but Shadow did manage to suck enough power out of you and as a consequence, you are getting older, weaker. It was about time, don't you agree?"

I clenched my jaw, glaring at him.

"That's impossible. I would have seen the results immediately. I can't lose my power, don't be silly." I replied.

A smile formed on Zen's face, his eyes staring into space, away from my stare.

"Believe whatever you like, not that it matters anymore." He said.

The smile on Zen's face widened and shortly after that, he burst into a small laughter.
I balled my hand into a fist and punched him straight in his jaw. Zen's head turned to the left and it went silent, but not for long since he started cackling again.

"Bloody bastard." I whispered.

Just as I was about to hurt him again, Felix entered the hole in a hurry. An anxious look had found it's way upon his face.

"Pan." He said.

"What is it now?" I asked, annoyed.

Felix seemed surprised by the tone of my voice which pushed my buttons even more.

"Well, get on with it already! What happened?" I yelled.

"It's Jade." Felix started, taking a few deep breaths.

"She's with Tiger Lilly."

My heart stopped at his words.

God damn it, this girl!
