The glass was cold as my fingertips pressed against it and smoke escaped my mouth with every breath. My eyes never left the face of the shadowy general that stood there, in the middle of the big street. His eyes never leaving mine.
Shivers ran down my spine and I snapped out of my trance when Zen growled next to me before pushing me aside and exiting the library.

The people behind me gasped at his actions and I could hear sobs leave some people's lips.

"Well well, I came to look for the girl that managed to kill my brother but I didn't expect to see you come out, Zen. What happened to Jade? Is she too scared to come out and fight me just like she did with Hirach?" Izermo spoke up in his demonic voice.

"I think you should worry more about me and less about the girl, Izermo. I think we both know how our last fight went. And I'd love to finish what I started. " Zen smirked evilly as he brushed the dust off his clothes.

Izermo laughed evilly, too evil for my liking.

"Try all you want. This time we won't let you get away so easily." Izermo smirked.

"We?" I whispered.

My eyes widened as I saw yet another figure appear behind Izermo. The figure wore a cape but didn't have a hood on. It wore a helmet instead.

"I hope you don't mind Brutus joining in. You see, we brothers are quite vengeful and we both want to bring our little brother to justice." Izermo said before lunging forward at a surprised Zen.

Izermo brought his shadow sword down at Zen who managed to dodge the attack but before he could do anything to fight back, Brutus had him in a chokehold.

Trapped in the general's grip, Zen hit Brutus in the gut with his elbow, making the shadow fall on his knee.

As Zen stepped back, he grabbed Brutus' arms and tossed him on the ground in front of him as Zen raised him over his head and took two steps back. Zen's head rose up to meet with Izermo, who immediately charged forward with his sword at hand.
The young warrior dodged the incoming strike, but Izermo managed to land a kick in his stomach, making Zen take a step back.
Before Zen could regain his balance, Izermo quickly rose his sword up in the air and brough it down directly on him. Surprised, Zen tried to dodge the attack, only to see that he was held in place by Brutus who had grabbed his right leg. Being in a tight spot, Zen vanished into thin air and quickly appeared right in front of Izermo, before charging a blast of magic, blowing the general away.

Izermo was sent flying to the wall of a building behind him and Zen stepped down on the ground between the two generals. Before he could turn to Brutus, a plated gauntlet met his face, making Zen growl as he turned to the enormous, armoured shadow. Brutus held his open palms out in front of him and in an instant, a huge, shadow axe was created.

"Oh, great." Zen whispered.

Brutus heaved the axe up in the air, ready to bring it down on Zen when I decided that enough was enough.
I bursted through the doors of the library, exiting the building and sprinting up to Brutus before grabbing his axe and pulling it to the ground, making him fall back on his bum.

"Why that isn't fair. Two against one. Why don't we even it out ey?" I smirked, glancing at Zen who shot me a grateful look.

"Now. " Zen said as he turned to Izermo.

"You insolent, weak piece of garbage will die." Zen went on, cracking his knuckles.

Izermo grinned.

"Fine. It's more fun this way." He replied before attacking Zen.

And then, the fight started. I was a little too busy fighting Brutus to see what Izermo and Zen were doing but by the sound of it, Zen had no reason to ask for my help. He dodged and attacked like a skilled warrior and managed to cut Izermo a few times with pieces of iron that he'd found on the ground. From what Granny told us, it was what they couldn't stand.
