"Is it really you?" Peter wondered.
I looked back at the Lost Boys who stood closer to the two people. They were all gobsmacked and some of them had even dropped the items they were holding like bows and arrows, bowls of soup etc.
I tried to look over Peter's shoulder but I stood too far away.
Suddenly, Peter moved away, the woman that was taken hostage now clearly being showed to everyone.I felt Nate let go off my arm and I leaned with all my weight on Alek who held me in his arms. My eyes couldn't be pried off of the woman that stood a few feet away from me.
"Mom!" I shouted.
My shouts had snapped her gaze away from Peter, with who she hadn't lost eye contact until now.
Her grey eyes fell upon me and relief and happiness filled her eyes."Jade!" She yelled back.
It felt so good to hear my name being said again. Especially since it came from her.
But as soon as the happiness and joy appeared on her facial expressions, they left again. Fear and shock taking over.
Her eyes landed upon Peter who was staring from me to my mom and back to me again.
An eery silence filled the camp as nobody knew what to do. Peter was searching for words, his mouth hanging open but nothing came out except a small noise in the back of his throat. My eyes widened as well as I realised that my mother had just blown my cover. I glanced at Alek in panic but he had a neutral look on his face as he looked straight at my mother.
"Jade?!" Robert yelled, breaking the silence.
Mumbles started to arise as the Lost Boys spoke to each other in panic, disbelief and shock.
My eyes met Peter's who stared at me. He looked upset and yet relieved. Angry and yet happy. It was a puzzle of mixed emotions."Jade." My real name rolled off of his tongue and everyone quieted down.
"You...She..." He couldn't find his words again.
His eyes had now met my mother's as his arm was streched out, his index finger pointing in my direction.
"Grace, is this...is this really her?" I furrowed my eyebrows at the mention of my mother's name.
I looked at my mother who had tears in her eyes, her lips were pursed in a thin line and she nodded her head frantically.
"Oh my God. I can't believe this! Why am I so stupid?! How could I not have seen this from the beginning?! This is Jade. This is-" Peter stopped rambling as he turned to me.
"H-How do you know my mother's name?" I croaked out.
It was one of the many questions that needed to be answered and I thought it would be handy to start simply.
Peter seemed to realise what he had said but his emerald green eyes never left mine.
"Boys. Take her away." Peter suddenly ordered, his voice was stern.
"But Pan-" One of the younger Lost Boys spoke up.
"I SAID TAKE HER AWAY!!" Peter yelled.
Nate then quickly lifted me up in his arms and started pulling me towards the cabin. It looked like everyone was frozen in time and when we began to move, everyone melted so that chaos could take over.
"What? No! Mom! Mommy!" I yelled over the chaos.
"Nate, let me go." I demanded but he didn't seem to bother listening to me.
"Nate!!! Nate!" I begged but he didn't listen.
We reached my cabin and he gently threw me on my bed.
