A few days have passed. Wkong's condition improved, but he still had headaches. His memories were hazy. He didn't remember where he came from or who he was before he landed where he landed. Even when he tried to forcefully remember anything, he got a strong headache. He was more nervous then. Liuer then consoled and reassured him. Wukong felt better when Liuer was with him. From what he now knew a hundred percent was that the prince was his only friend. Whether he ever had any other friends, he couldn't remember. He honestly had to get to know the world all over again. Although it was difficult due to the fact that Wukong was in the same room and Liuer was with him often (but he had his princely duties, so not always) and sometimes the doctor came to him too. He checked his general condition (but focused mostly on brain damage). Wukong's body was regenerating quickly. His powers weren't damaged, of course Wukong didn't remember having any powers. For now, he was like a blank slate on which to write anything (this makes Wukong a weapon in the wrong hands). It made him believe anything, but for now he only trusted Liuer.
The physician reported this to the king. The king wondered how this was possible. As far as he knew, Sun Wukong was the most powerful being in the entire world. No ordinary wounds could have damaged his body. The king suspected that whatever had happened to him must be magic, how else could he explain his lack of memories? A mere fall couldn't cause the memory of an immortal and indestructible being to be lost, could it? The king decided to keep his distance. After all, Sun Wukong is a threat to his kingdom. But he might as well become an ally if he remembers how to fight. Time will tell. the second thing that was disturbing was that the heavens had gone silent. From what he heard peace was made. Could the knocking down of Sun Wukong have anything to do with it? After all, he was the one who caused a riot in the heavens together with some brotherhood. And now suddenly peace? Removing the strongest fighter would cause this? Weird. If there is peace... It might as well mean that the heavens must have bowed somehow... But how? If the side that started the war lost their most powerful player, they should bend, not the heavens. All this worried the king. Until, unexpectedly, he heard the news that Sun Wukong was dead. This worried him, but it also made him calm, because if all the world thinks that the sage equal to heaven is dead, then maybe his kingdom will be safe. It is enough for Sun Wukong to stay forever in the kingdom. But what if his memories come back? He will surely be furious and wage war with the heavens again. He can't let that happen. The king decided. Interestingly, his son became interested in Sun Wukong. Finally someone liked his picky son. While this may prove to be a threat, it may also prove to be a blessing for his kingdom. Having an heir who had the powers of Sun Wkong and his son's powers would make his future heir even more powerful and the kingdom could grow stronger. He still has to think about it. His kingdom is at stake.
The king had the idea that he would offer Sun Wypukong a job as a servant/adviser. Even if he has no memories, he must remember military tactics. As a soldier or a general or rather a teacher who would help improve the army. The king is aware that he must choose his words properly so as not to upset him. He remembers the story of how Sun Wukong got angry with the heavens just because they gave him the lowest position. The king will not make that mistake.
Of course, even if Wukong doesn't agree, the king will find another way to keep him here. But now he hopes to talk to Sun Wukong without any trouble.
The king got up from the throne and went towards the room where the golden-haired monkey has been for several days.
The king entered the room. Wukong was lying in bed half covered with a duvet. Liuer was sitting next to him. They were talking about something. Or rather, Liuer talked and Wukong listened (even if he didn't understand what his friend was talking about, but he was glad that Liuer was talking anyway).
The king closed the door behind him and stood in front of the bed. Liuer fell silent. He looked at his father asking /what is he doing here/.
Wukong looked at the king with a raised eyebrow, but said nothing.
"Now I know what to do with you," said the king.
Wukong remained silent. He looked at the king. He tried to read from his facial expressions what he was planning, but the king had a serious expression on his face.
"You will stay here..." He began. Liuer's mood improved. "But.."
A but, of course, thought Liuer.
"You will take a job as one of my advisors"
"Advisers?" He said with distrust.
"Yes. You will take the position."
Wukong winced at the fact that someone was imposing something on him. Liuer looked at his father.
"Father, how can he advise you (no offence) when he doesn't even remember anything..." Liuer said indignantly.
"In what area should I advise you?" Wukong asked.
"In ordinary matters... As well as in military matters"
Liuer looked at him suspiciously.
"I'm not sure I could handle your orders with a lack of memory and experience," said Wukong.
"We can find out. The doctor told me that your wounds are already healed. Therefore, you will start tomorrow."
Wukong was confused. Why would the king require such a thing from him? He barely remembers the basics of life and he demands from him expertise he doesn't have.
"And if I turn out to be incompetent?" Wukong asked. The king expected this.
"Don't worry about it. I believe you can handle it." The king said with a sly smile. "That's all I have to say," he said firmly and left.
"Honestly, your father is weird," said Wukong, "I don't even know what tasks to do"
"You'll be fine," said Liuer, "after all, thanks to this, you'll stay here.... And I'll be able to see you."
"Yeah that's the only plus" Wukong said then blushed. Liuer chuckled. Even though Liuer knew him for a short time, he felt that he had known him all his life. He didn't mind that his father had given Wkongu one of the more responsible positions in the kingdom. His father must have planned something. He wouldn't do it for no reason and for no one, so his father must know Wukong, but he doesn't want to admit it. Liuer chuckled at the thought, but also felt annoyed.
Wukong looked at him in confusion. "Something happened?"
  "Hm? Oh.. everything's fine"
"Could you finish the story for me? About that...hm...when you were at that ball and you poured wine on one of the ladies because she was insistent," Wukong said. He honestly had trouble remembering it.
Liuer looked at him with a smile. "And yet you listen to me"
"Always," he replied with a broad smile. Liuer finished the story. This made Wukong stop worrying for a while. Liuer's voice was relaxing to him. Liuer was well aware of this. Wukong fell asleep. Liuer looked at him and smiled.
