Unexpected

Chapter 6.

Wukong had a nightmare. Or was it another misunderstood memory? Wukong opened his eyes sharply. It took him a moment to realize he was in his room and that Liuer was looking at him. Wait how did he get there? And why is Liuer here? Wukong didn't know. Liuer smiled.
  "Bad dream?" He said gently. Wukong nodded and salivated. He tried to remember what had happened before. He remembered that... (And here are memory problems) he was with the king, he fought? won? And after this darkness... and pain? Or maybe first there was pain and then darkness... Wukong had many questions.
  "Why are you here?" Wukong said.
  "Because I was worried about you."
  Wukong blushed first. "What.. what happened?"
  Liuer sighed, "my father made you fight. When I found out about it, I scolded him, but he told me that you won and that you had some powers and that it will be my job to help you develop them. Isn't that great? We'll see each other every day."
  Wukong was overwhelmed. He felt confused. Powers? He has powers? Wukong thought about it. He must have known about it in the past. Then why didn't he know it now? Ah.. he doesn't remember that. It complicates his life.
"Hey? Are you okay? Aren't you glad we'll spend some more time together?"
  Wukong shook himself out of his thoughts.
  "I mean, of course, but it's all... it's beyond me... Loss of memories... this place... your father... this job as a advisor? And now the powers?" Wukong cringed. Liuer sat next to him.
  "It'll be fine. You're not alone. I'm here"
  Wukong stared at him. "I know.. thank you, but..."
  "But?"
  "Don't you think that's a bit weird? You suddenly like me like that. Even without knowing me. I don't even know who I am now..." Wukong said regretfully. Liuer put his arm around him.
  "Look at me. You're the first person (the only person) I've ever liked like this. In my eyes, you're amazing. So what with that we haven't known each other for a long time. But I know,  I feel it,  we've known each other for much longer. Don't you feel the same?
  Wukong nodded. Liuer smiled.
  So they are meant for each other.
  "What if you get bored of me? Or if you don't like things from my past? Or what..."
  Liuer placed a finger over Wukong's lips to silence him. He then placed his hands on Wukong's cheeks.
  "Listen to me. I just told you that I like you very much, even madly. Trust me. Please. I won't abandon you. Do you understand?" He said firmly.
Wukong still wasn't convinced, but he nodded. Liuer touched his forehead against Wukong's. They closed their eyes.
"It'll be fine. Ok? Besides, I don't care who you were in the past or what you did. You matter now."
You are My Sunshine. Happiness. Liuer thought.
After a while they moved away.
"Are you better now?" Liuer never took his eyes off Wukong. Wukong looked at Liuer.
"Yes..thank you" he said with a small smile.
