Wukong told the whole story of Guanyin. The goddess was surprised and showed more and more tenderness and care towards the golden-haired monkey. The days passed peacefully. On fresh air. In sunny days. But the nights were hard for him, when he couldn't sleep, feeling that there was someone else in his room, that the shadows were hiding more than could be seen. And one word rang in his mind: Sunshine.
Wukong sat up abruptly. He was all sweaty. He felt like he was there again, trapped in the dark again.
He had to calm down. Yes, the baby felt it too.
"It's okay, it was just a dream." Wukong said, stroking his already rounded belly. He was 6 months pregnant. And stress wasn't doing him any good. Nights like this were the worst, because when he woke up, he couldn't go back to sleep, he kept checking if he had his cane in his ear. And then he just waited for the sun to rise and the day to begin.

"You haven't slept again." Guanyin stated.
"Which did not." he yawned. The goddess looked at him with a raised eyebrow. Wukong rubbed his tired eyes. "I couldn't sleep. That's all."
"It's not good. You know very well that you can't risk yourself now."
"I know."
Guanyin sighed. "At least try to take a nap now."
"There is no need." he yawned again and his eyes closed on their own, but he tried to stay alert. Guanyin just shook her head. She summoned her lotus. She helped Wukong inside so he could sleep in peace.
"But only for a moment." Wukong muttered. Gunayin smiled, her smile full of caring.

And how is our beloved shadow king?
Well, that's not good, since Liuer got the shadow lamp and a fight broke out. Their fight destroyed half of the kingdom. Secondly, the celestials want to draw consequences for not keeping Sun Wukong. Of course, the entire blame falls on the king. It would be good if he found this ungrateful sun and brought it to the heavenly ones. He probably already regained his memories, so at least he will answer consciously to the heavenly court. The king looks at his soldiers he sent after Wukong with disgust. Apparently they are of no use to him anymore. As usual, he will have to deal with this disobedient monkey himself. He watches as the shadows consume his former soldiers.
Maybe he could cooperate with the brotherhood, which has recently become more powerful. This time he can't mess it up.

"So you want to tell us that Sun Wukong is alive?" Azur said.
"And why are you telling us this?" Peng said.
"I thought you might need this information, for the sake of an old friendship."
Azur looked at him distantly.
"What do you want, Macaque?"
"Nothing."
Peng snorted. "Aren't you fooling us into thinking what made the great Macaque King emerge from the shadows?"
"You have grown stronger. Not when you weren't wondering where Sun Wukong went?"
"What do you mean?"
"It never occurred to you that he might have betrayed you?"
"..."
"Wukong wouldn't be able to do that, unlike you."
"Maybe yes, maybe no. But then why did he leave you? If he's alive."
"You have no evidence for this."
"Or maybe it is?"
"Speak. Before we lose patience with you."
"He was last seen with a certain monk who is to deliver certain scrolls on behalf of heaven."
"It's just rumors."
"And yet you've heard about it too. Maybe it's not just a rumor after all."
"Okay, what do you want us to do?"
"Just like you, I have a score to settle with this monkey. All you have to do is find him, we'll all talk. We'll settle our affairs."
"Compared to you, we don't seek revenge."
"Sure. It's not like you didn't care about him. And especially Azur. What? The heart isn't a servant."
Azur couldn't stand it and grabbed him by the throat, choking him.
"Not another word." drawled Azur. He looked deep into his eyes and let go.
"You better get out of here."
Mac. he rose from the ground. "You will see later. When he comes for you by order of the emperor." and disappeared into the shadows.
