chapter 14 part one

All palace servants were on standby. All the servants were also panicked. Because it's not every day that you get guests... you'll see in a moment. Worse still, Wukong had to be at that party. Torment. If he is considered a woman, he will have to behave as such. It was terrible for him. In addition. He spent time with the queen early in the morning. The Queen helped him with his preparations. Because he's never been to a party before. Sigh. He hoped that the prince would save him, but unfortunately not. He hasn't seen Liuer since the morning. Yes, he got up and was immediately taken to the queen.
The Queen talked to him about etiquette, picked out his clothes... he was now wearing a blue and gold female hanfu. Will he survive this? NO.
Wukong also didn't understand what all the fuss was about. Who was supposed to come? Who is all this for? He had to endure. Inhale, exhale, inhale and exhale...
"Honey? Are you feeling okay?" asked the queen.
Wukong opened his eyes. Well, now he's having this bad tea with the queen. He can't have a panic attack now. "Yes. I'm fine..."
"Are you sure? We don't want a repeat of what happened, do we? Have you taken your medicine?"
He forgot about it... well... He doesn't want to take it...
Wukong nodded.
The Queen smiled. "Okay. Is there anything you're worried about?"
"Maybe... I haven't seen Liuer yet.."
"Oh. Don't worry, you'll see him at the party."
"And... who's supposed to be at this party?"
The queen drank tea. "My husband has managed to establish cooperation with the heavenly kingdom. Some officials from this kingdom are expected to arrive."
The king didn't tell him anything about any cooperation.
"The Kingdom of Heaven?"
"Yes. It is the realm of immortal beings. They rule the world."
Hmm... this sounds familiar... immortality... maybe if he doesn't take this medicine by the end of the day, maybe he will finally remember something and prove that nothing is happening to him. This is the plan. Wukong smiled at the height of his genius.
"Honey, is something wrong?"
Oh.. great.
"I can't wait to see Liuer.." he lied.
The Queen smiled and drank tea "You are such a beautiful couple"
Wait what? What couple? Wukong's expression darkened.
Wukong's heart began to beat faster. The world has slowed down.
This didn't help at all. Is it friendship after all or something more? No, it can't be... he doesn't...
Problem and problem. The desire to escape, the desire to stay... why did he feel bad when he heard this? And then something nice? As if that's what your heart wanted? NO! It can not be!
The Queen moved closer to him. She sat down next to him. She took his hand. She stroked his hand. Wukong shuddered. "Honey. You have nothing to be afraid of. He will take good care of you."
As if he hadn't already broken it down. I do not need it. "You will be happy with him"
What is this?
"Love. A beautiful thing. He wants you so much. And when my son wants something, he always gets it."
The fear intensified.
"you love him, right?" It was more of a statement than a question. As if she was telling him that he loved him so much. Wukong nodded involuntarily. The Queen smiled. What was happening? Liuer has the gift of telling people what he want. Sigh. Wukong had no way to fight it. They were just words. Words that were absorbed into his heart. He was powerless against it. The queen was still missing to get involved. What has he gotten himself into? It's difficult. Must survive. Although you could see the tears ones in his eyes.
Someone knocked on the door. The Queen said "Come in!"
A maid entered the room. She stood nearby.
"What is it about?" Said the queen.
"The party is ready"
"Oh. It's time to go. Come on, honey," the queen stood up. Wukong too. He had a feeling it was going to be terrible.
.
.
.
The party took place in the throne room. There was a little more light. There were several round tables with black tablecloths with food. The servants walked around with trays of alcohol. It wasn't a big party, but it was still a party. There were generals with their wives, advisors, officials, and nobility. And these special guests. It was obvious that they must have been the celestial ones. Because they did not look like inhabitants of this dark kingdom. They were not monkeys. They had no fur. They were dressed in colorful clothes. There were 3 of them in total. They were talking on the side. Observing everything. The king was talking to them. The prince looked bored. He drank wine and talked reluctantly with the nobility. It was obvious that he didn't want to talk to them.
Wukong and the queen entered through the main doors, so of course everyone quieted down and looked at them. Wukong was nervous and stressed. He felt everyone looking at him. They're x-raying him. He didn't like it. The queen approached the king. Wukong stood alone. He looked around. What was he supposed to do? He noticed Liuer and walked over to him quickly. The prince smiled. The nobility left them.
"You look beautiful," Liuer said in that charming voice. Wukong blushed.
"There are a lot of people here," Wukong said.
"Eh... it's not bad. I've been to bigger parties. Only the king's closest trusted guests are here."
"Oh.." Wukong didn't even want to know what a party would look like with the invitation of all these important personalities from the entire city, or worse, from the entire country.
"How did you spend today?" Liuer asked.
"With your mother. Do you know how terrible it was? You could have saved me. What were you doing?" Wukong complained.
"I had to take care of a few things... you know, princely duties"
"Something I don't believe you." Wukong said with suspicion. Liuer chuckled nervously.
"You know what else... you know your mother thinks we're together."
"Right? Why shouldn't we be together? It's obvious."
For Wukong, no...
"I chose you," the prince whispered, smiling slyly. Wukong shuddered.
And this is where the nightmare begins... and it was all because of that first, stupid kiss... Wukong's heart was beating like crazy again. What has he gotten himself into...
"Sunshine. Are you feeling well? Have you taken your medicine?"
Wukong looked at him in horror. He nodded.
"What made you stressed?"
"There are... just too many people here..."
"Oh. Okay. Can I get you some water?"
Wukong nodded. The prince has gone somewhere. Wukong had a plan. Get out of this room as quickly as possible. He looked around. Maybe he could leave through the same exit he entered? Have to try. So he walked. He was walking until he bumped into one of the guests. Unfortunately for him, he bumped into one of the celestials. Who turned to him. His annoyance was clearly visible. Wukong got scared. He had a simple plan. Leave. Did not work. He didn't want any guest, even a celestial one, to get upset because of his stupid mistake.
"I'm so sorry...I'm sorry...I didn't mean to bump into you..." Wukong said. The celestial looked him up and down and snorted. Wukong was embarrassed. His mind was clearly telling him to get away from this heavenly one. He seemed familiar... fire flashed before his eyes. It wasn't real, because it was a memory that was all too real. For a few seconds, Wukong felt flames surround him and he couldn't breathe. He must escape. The vision disappeared. He saw an exit ahead of him. And that was his goal.
"Sorry... I have to go now..." Wukong said. He was about to leave when the king said "Ah.. there you are Wukong."
Wukong turned to him. He did not say anything. His plan to escape from that party went to waste. Maybe it will last?
"As I already told you. This is Wukong." The king said. The Celestials looked at him suspiciously.
Wukong felt bad and wanted to get out of there. Wait, the king talked about him? What did he tell them?!
"Apparently you've lost your memory," said one of the celestials, with contempt in his voice.
Wukong just nodded, but he felt ashamed.
The king smiled proudly. "I believe we can now discuss business. I invite you to my office," said the king. The king walked in a direction and the celestials followed him. And now there was a chance to get out of this party, but then the prince came up.
"Here's some water," the prince gave the water to Wukong. Wukong drank it all. He felt hot.
"Wukong? Are you sure you're okay?"
There's really no point in lying.
"No. I'm hot. I wish today wasn't that day..."
Yeah... it would be stupid to bleed at a party with everyone staring. Anyway, he's hot. And he needs fresh air.
"Hmm... you can't have it now. You had it a week ago," said the prince. He looked worried.
"Oh..." this time is weird... he'll worry about it later... now a new plan to escape the party.
"We can go outside if you want. This party is boring anyway," Liuer said. Wukong nodded. The prince put his arm around him. They went out onto the terrace. The only source of light came from inside the palace and the moon. It was quiet outside. There was a light wind, but it did not soothe Wukong. He could still feel the flames of fire from the vision. He was annoyed. Because this vision didn't give him any useful information. More questions and growing frustration... what was he supposed to do about it? Wait it out.
They sat down on the bench. Wukong rested his head on the prince's shoulder. The prince held his hand, massaging it with his thumb. Today is another terrible day.
Wukong closed his eyes... and flames appeared in his front again. He opened his eyes suddenly. Was it a reality?
"Hey, Wukong?" Liuer said.
"Hmm?"
"You don't like parties?"
"As you can see, no"
"Neither do I... but I have to."
"You? What should I say?"
Liuer chuckled.
"Even if it was a small party... for close people?"
"And isn't this a small party? I don't know... if you were there, it would be bearable. What's on your mind?"
"Because... in a month. There's going to be a family reunion."
"Family reunion?"
"Yeah... only my family will be there, you know, siblings etc."
"Ah... and what am I supposed to be there too?"
"If you could? My Sunshine..."
Wukong sighed. "I don't have many options to choose from?"
"I promise you'll like it," he said with a sly smile.
"Okay... I will, but you have to stay with me until the very end, I don't want to be alone around your family, which, in my opinion, is too strange."
Liuer laughed. "Does that mean I'm weird too?" He teased. Wukong wanted to say yes, but he said "you're fine" Liuer kissed him on the head. He sits in silence for a moment. Wukong was already starting to hallucinate... or so he thought, because there was no way he could be inhaling hot air when it was cold outside. Now he could feel the heat rising through his nose, into his throat, and then into his lungs. Burning your lungs into a frenzy. His vision began to blur. Another vision again? Well, it was a bit miserable, because he couldn't see anything. Wonderful. Somehow, unconsciously, he clung closer to the prince, as if he needed it most. He felt how cold the prince was and it was a pleasant cooling at that moment. The prince smiled. The night was really nice. It just started getting colder and colder.
"Sunshine? Maybe we should go back inside... it's starting to get chilly and you're not used to these temperatures."
"NO. I want to stay... it's nice... just for a while"
"Are you still hot?"
Wukong nodded.
Liuer placed his hand on Wukong's forehead. He was obviously starting to have a fever.
"Wukong, you have a fever. Let's go to the doctor though."
"NO"
"Sunshine. You know I will drag you by force," the prince said seriously.
Wukong sighed. He'd rather stay out here... but he knows the prince will drag him into the shadow portal. Wukong smiled slightly. Now he felt... something he shouldn't feel at all (even though he's hot), he felt something nice. The feeling that someone cares about him? What was that supposed to be?! Of course he knows how protective the prince is to a fault... and it was a little irritating, but now? He feels this is nice?! Where have the fear and anxiety gone?! Where did it go that you need to get out?! It had a purpose... which was replaced by... heat? What did he feel? You have to survive... He sighed. They stood up.
"Do you want to go on foot or through the portal?"
"On foot"
The prince nodded. They were walking. They were already at the door of the doctor's room when the messenger approached them.
"Please forgive me... prince, the important thing is calling you," said the servant.
"Now?"
"Yes"
The prince sighed. "Will you excuse me? I'll be back soon. Don't wait for me and come inside." Said the prince. He was slightly annoyed by this. Because he had a plan special for Wukong, he was planing Something for his sunshine from three weeks now, do he has to go. Everything have to be perfect, he won't be able to hear what the doctor tells Wukong about his health. Nothing, he'll have to find out later. Liuer disappeared into the shadow portal.
The servant was still standing there. Wukong ignored him and entered. Then he heard the door lock. It terrified him. Then he saw that there was a doctor in the room, but also another man. It was one of those heavenly ones. Now Wukong felt even more afraid. What was he doing there?
"Wukong. You're here." said the doctor. What? Was this planned?! What?! "This is one of the heavenly doctors who would like to examine you."
"What for?"
"You know. Celestials have a better aptitude for healing than mere mortals," the doctor said. "Besides, you haven't taken your medicine today... but you'll get it after the examination."
Now Wukong was completely terrified. His heart was beating fast. "I'll be here the whole time, so nothing will happen to you. He'll just watch you." What?! I do not agree!
He now felt heat, pain, explosive mixture.
"Strip," the celestial finally spoke. Did he seem happy somehow?
"What?"
"I need to see you. Take your clothes off."
Wukong looked at his doctor. The doctor nodded. Wukong was locked in here anyway.
"You have to take everything off."
"Which did not."
"Wukong. Don't prolong this," the doctor said. Wukong had taken off everything and was now wearing nothing. It was degrading. His tail covered his lower private part. The Celestial looked him up and down, took out a notebook and wrote something down. He made a circle around Wukong, who was just standing there, waiting for Liuer to save him. Poor hope.
"Lie here," said the celestial. Wukong lay down on the operating table. His arms were crossed.
"Keep your arms straight and let your tail move away."
Wukong began to breathe anxiously, but he obeyed, he had no other choice. The Celestial wrote something in his notebook, then touched Wukong's head. Wukong grimaced. He removed his hand and wrote something down.
"Open your legs"
"Which did not!"
"Wukong, we'll have to do it later anyway, so it's better to do it now," his doctor said.
"Check what?!"
"Are you capable of giving an heir to the royal family?"
What? Now his body was in pre-heart attack condition. His heart was beating rapidly, his breathing was uneven.
Well, he carried out the order anyway. He felt degraded and humiliated. The Celestial wrote something down again.
"You can now lie down normally," said the celestial. Then he placed his hand on its lower part and whispered some spell.
"What have you done?"
"I have removed the spell from your womb"
Wukong's eyes widened. First of all, what the fuck is going on here, secondly, he will never go to the doctor again.
"Turn to the side"
Of course, Wukong complied. The Celestial placed his hand on Wukong's back. He whispered another spell. Rays of light appeared on the underside of his hand, but were not absorbed. The Celestial was surprised. Wukong began to shake in fear.
"Lie back on your back"
Wukong did so. The Celestial stretched out his hands and whispered something. And now something happened that shocked them. Wukong's fur was no longer golden, but burnt, with white puffs of fur. His hands looked as if they had been burned, as did his feet. His eyes turned red. Were there black soot spots in the corners of his eyes? He had numerous scars all over his body. Celestial noted.
"How?"
"A failed experiment with fire from the heavens. Even he couldn't survive the fire unscathed. As I see. The burns are still visible. Well, immortality doesn't protect against damage."
What?! What experiment? Fire? Immortality? What's happening here?!
"Now turn sideways."
Wukong did. He held his tail in his hand. Now he noticed that his body had changed. It's more damaged. He closed his eyes. And he told himself it was just a bad dream. Yeah.. the horror one. The Celestial placed his hand on his back again and said a spell. Rays of golden light were absorbed into Wukong's back. Wukong felt a terrible pain in his back, as if he had been burned. A bloody mark appeared on Wukong's back.
"What have you done?"
"I have sealed your powers." Said the celestial.
"What?! "
"Apparently you had problems with your powers. Your powers were interfering with your health."
Was this some kind of joke?! I want to get out but I can't...
"Turn onto your back"
Wukong turned around, his back hurting terribly and it was still hot.
The Celestial stretched his hands out in front of him and uttered a spell. Wukong's appearance returned to normal. Golden fur again, golden eyes, no scars or burns.
"You can get up now. I'm done. Get dressed," the celestial said. He stepped aside with the doctor. They talked in whispers. Wukong didn't hear. He was stunned, overwhelmed. He dressed quickly. And he saw a red and gold stick lying on the floor. His eyes lit up. A violent pain shot through his head. He suppressed a groan. He tried to calm down. He knew that stick. This... belonged to him... he was looking for it...
"Wukong?" Said the Doctor. Wukong snapped out of his thoughts and turned towards the doctor. The Celestial was no more. I think he left?
"Medicine," the doctor said with a pleasant smile. Wukong was internally terrified. He nodded and took the pill. He looked at it.
"It's for your health"
Wukong took the pill into his mouth.
"Just swallow, if you have trouble swallowing I can give it to you in liquid form"
His plan to pretend to take his medicine went to waste. He took the pill out of his mouth and couldn't swallow it anyway. The doctor poured a black substance into a glass. He handed it to Wukong. Wukong drank reluctantly. "You can go back now. The prince is definitely waiting for you" he must run away from here as quickly as possible and take the stick. But now he can't.
Wukong opened the door. But they were closed earlier? Is he hallucinating? The same servant was outside. Wukong felt dizzy. He needs to get rid of this substance from his body as soon as possible before he forgets about this stick and his... weapons... damn.
"I'm supposed to take you to the prince"
"You better take me to my room, I don't feel well."
The servant nodded and led him to the room. Wukong quickly went to the bathroom. He has to get rid of this damn drug somehow. And preferably by vomiting. There was no problem with that, he immediately vomited into the sink. And now he has dejavu. It was the same in his dream. The same substance. But this is reality. He looked at his reflection in the mirror. He touched the mirror, but it was just a mirror. Enough. It is too much. He punched the mirror and it shattered into tiny pieces. He entered the room. He took out his anger on everything. He tore off the curtains and when he hit the window, a golden shield of magic appeared. They chewed up special spell protection?! And yet they want to imprison him!? He threw himself on the furniture. He broke all the furniture. His fury was limitless. He used sheer force. He had had enough. It's all too much. He tore the pillows, blankets and quilt. He ripped the mattress open. He tore all his clothes. It still wasn't enough for him. And his anger was intensified by fear. He was afraid he was trapped. Closed. Kept in a cage. And so it was. He has become someone he is not. He forgot. But he knows that he won't take this medicine anymore, that he has to take the stick and run away as quickly as possible, but for now he is standing in the middle of the room. He's breathing heavily and he's still hot. It's as hot as... that damn heavenly fire. He feels pain, angry, fear. He doesn't want to be there. He wants to go home.... to his people... A tear rolled down my cheek.
The prince entered the room. "Wukong?! What happened here?" Wukong looked at him. He was furious. His eyes were full of tears. He wanted to tear him apart. He hated this place, hated him and his damn family. The prince was worried. He didn't know what happened. He should be with Wukong.
"Sunshine? Whatever happened... I'm here... another strange memory? Sunshine, you're safe here," the prince said.
"Leave me alone!"
"Sunshine. Tell me what happened?"
"Let me out of here! I don't want to be here!!"

To be continue...
