Let's start.

.
.Due to the fact that Wukong and Liuer returned to the palace, all kinds of preparations immediately began and with them troubles. But let's start one by one.
At first it started inconspicuously calm. Several meetings with consultants regarding the wedding plan, what it should look like, etc. They were accompanied by the queen, who was very involved in the wedding planning. Responsibilities were divided. Due to the condition Wukong was in, he could not make decisions on his own, so he could only say whether he liked it or not, but Liuer and sometimes the queen had the deciding vote. The king preferred not to get involved, but he brought more doctors to the palace to replace the old doctor, but they only took care of Wukong. Another annoying thing.
In short, it looked like they were asking him questions and he was supposed to answer them. But it was more like they were telling him he had a disease.
And he felt bad about it. They asked him questions such as how he felt, whether he felt dizzy today and whether he felt pain. Then came the questions of why he feels the way he doesn't (I know, complicated), how he feels in this kingdom in general and whether he remembers his previous life, the best part was why he attacked the king, this question brought him out of his mind. Sometimes Liuer was also present at these sessions as support. Did it help? Wukong felt even more embarrassed. They said: the most important thing is to be honest with yourself and not to cheat. But was this about them or him? Because this whole study looked like he was being honest with them. What could he do? At first he didn't know how to behave, so of course he told the truth and regretted it bitterly. Maybe he didn't need to mention the fact that he doesn't feel comfortable in the role of a woman and his fate has already been decided, because later pills appeared. Their diagnosis showed that Wukong had a separation of self, hyperactivity, uncontrolled aggression in stressful situations and a sense of anxiety resulting from his experiences that he does not remember and the fact that Wukong feels alien in this realm. Oh, the best thing was that they decided that he was also hallucinating and his mind, to cope with the trauma, invented various stories that never happened (or was it really?). They prescribed him sedative pills for sleep (so that he could fall asleep peacefully at night without waking up with the feeling of not being at peace), some other pills for pain, and best of all, for dessert, the same black pills against his imaginary visions (it was supposed to be as a protection against the return of memories, of course this was ordered by the king, who had to interfere with Wukong's health). Okay, so what was the effect of the pills on Wukong. He was dull and numb. His behavior and his reaction were slowed. His head, especially his ear (where he kept his weapon), hurt a lot, although the pain only appeared when he took the black pills, and then he felt his mind cracking and sticking back together. After all this, he decided that it was best to say what these doctors wanted to hear. He repeated day after day that he knew he was sick, that he was getting better, that he felt at home, that he felt safe here and that he was very happy that he was getting married because his beloved cared about him very much ( it happened to be true) and that he accepts what he is. In the beginning there were a lot of meetings. but after this confession and acceptance of what they told him, there were fewer meetings until they concluded that Wukong's condition was stable. These new doctors left the palace, but the pills remained.
How long was he supposed to take these pills? Until it is confirmed that he has finally fully recovered. So, basically, now he was walking groggily, sometimes groggily and sometimes with an earache. He even considered pulling his weapon out of his ear, but it could always come in handy, and what if someone saw his weapon and took it, or worse yet, the king found out? So you better keep the weapon in your ear, it's hard to get over. At least Liuer was with him, but... they spent less and less time together, to the point that Wukong felt a twinge of longing in his heart. He understood that Liuer took over the duties of planning the wedding etc. And Wukong spent time with the queen, because what else. And his time was filled with learning manners, how to behave in a given situation, and also learning dance. Oh that was the worst... Wukong didn't practice with Liuer at all, but with some teacher who was angry with him for stepping on his feet. It was a relief to think that in a fight he would have easily defeated this teacher, and unfortunately, he accidentally stepped on the teacher's foot again.
"Stop the music," said the teacher.
"Sorry, I got distracted..." Wukong said.
"You can't get distracted. Dancing is like fighting."
"No, it's not like fighting. Fighting is different."
"Really? I don't think you know that."
"What?! In a fight, you're about domination and maintaining your position, you have to maintain the right posture so that your opponent doesn't use it against you... oh... maybe you're right?"
"Let's start again," said the teacher. But that doesn't mean that Wukong was better at dancing.
Returning to the topic of Wukong's separation from the prince. It turned out that before the wedding they couldn't sleep together in the same bed to maintain chastity. And the solution to this was that Wukong had to get his own room. He didn't like this solution. He felt more isolated. He only met with the prince for some wedding-related matters, plus the queen was still with them, so no contact, no hugs, no cuddles... or kisses. Although, Liuer liked to break these rules, which was a comfort to Wukong.
Another thing is guests and invitations. Wukong in his current state couldn't decide anything, he didn't even know all these people, so of course it was Liuer and the queen who decided. Wukong would like to help somehow, but unfortunately with the dizziness and overload resulting from taking the pills, he can't, so he just watches. The entire aristocracy is to be at the wedding, the entire royal family (aunts, uncles, cousins), sisters with their families, brothers with their families. Yes, there will be a lot of it. A whole lot of people waiting to meet the future princess and wondering how it all happened.
The bride and groom, parents and witnesses sit at one table. Liuer chose his cousin as his best man, with whom he happened to have a good relationship, and Wukong... had to decide between Lil and Ting, there isn't much of a choice. Ting is nice, but it's only politeness and Lil doesn't hide her feelings towards Wukong. But that's the only thing he can decide on.
And also a wedding dress. The Queen thought that Wukong would wear her wedding dress and that it would be very traditional? After all, Wukong would be her daughter-in-law, almost like a daughter to her. Weird.
To sum up, Wukong, as usual, has no right to express himself, he begins to feel lonely and the pills are confusing him. It is not good. But he has to hold out until the wedding, after the wedding he will be with Liuer and maybe he will finally be able to convince him that Wukong's condition is fine and maybe he will ask the king to let them live in their house, which Liuer built especially for him. How humiliating it will be.
Now he stands and looks at himself in the mirror. He is wearing the queen's dress and sees himself, but he clearly sees someone else, someone he is not, and he feels that it is not him.
I look like a doll, pathetic, Wukong thought. He should be happy, he was sure he would be happy, he is getting married but he feels something is missing... he has made a decision, but was it the right decision? The longer he looks in the mirror, his anxiety increases, but he begins to become self-conscious under the influence of sedatives. But the feeling of strangeness does not disappear. That reflection in the mirror is not his. This is the version created by this dark world.
"You look beautiful, darling, Liuer will be pleased. Are you feeling well?"
Wukong snapped out of his thoughts.
"Yes. It's fine. Do you know if Liuer has time today?"
"I don't think so, he's very busy, he wants everything to be perfect."
"Oh... I wanted to see him, I haven't seen him for a few days and..."
"Honey. You don't have to worry about anything... but if you want to see him, he'll definitely be in the his office."
"thank you"
"Just leave the dress, he can't see you in it, because it will bring bad luck. Besides, I need to find a good seamstress to fix it a little."
Wukong changed his clothes and left. Fortunately, they turned on more light in the palace. This made his movement much easier. Although, as he walked through the throne room, he felt like he was sinking into the floor with every step. He tried to get to the prince's office as quickly as possible. He accidentally bumped into Lai and already had a bad feeling.
"Be careful where you walk," he said nervously.
"Sorry..." Wukong muttered and continued walking, but Lai followed him
"Wait, where are you going?"
"To see Liuer..."
"Liuer talked to father"
Wukong stopped. "Oh..." So he goes back to the room, but Lai was still following him.
"What do you want from me?" he stopped and looked at Lai. Lai smiled.
"I just want to talk"
"Really? And I don't. I don't have time. Goodbye."
Unfortunately, it still hasn't come off. Which was annoying.
"Okay, what do you want to talk about?"
"I want to get to know you better, you will be my sister-in-law"
"What's wrong with you? Do you want to humiliate me?"
"Ow.. just straight out of the blue? Maybe we can spend some time together over tea?"
"NO."
"But you have nothing else to do, and Liuer is talking to father, come on... let's settle old disputes."
Wukong raised an eyebrow.
"What else should I do to convince you? Okay, I understand, you don't trust me, it will be better if the others come, Ling, Yu, Lil and Ting."
"Do you want me to talk to you that bad?"
"So have we had a deal?"
"So be it."
"Then come to the living room in 15 minutes. I still have to convince the rest"
"Fine"
Wukong had a very bad feeling about this meeting, but if it was a way to reconcile with the king's siblings.
