The following days passed the same. New routine. Get up, eat, change clothes, go to training with the soldiers, meet the prince, go to sleep. Get up, eat, change clothes, train with the soldiers, meet the prince. It was tiring. Same routine every day. His duties as an advisor were curtailed. Sometimes there were unexpected elements, but we'll get to that later. The routine was tiring, but at least it built the foundations of Wukong's new life in this dark realm. Training with the soldiers wasn't fun at all. And those generals staring at him all the time. Judging his every move, every word he said. It was an unpleasant feeling. Wukong felt a fear that he was doing something wrong and would be scolded? It was ridiculous, but that's how Wukong felt. Fear of doing something wrong. And the generals were not very nice or not nice. They didn't talk to him. They just watched what he teaches. The soldiers didn't talk much to him either. They were only following his orders. Wukong thought he would be friends with them, but unfortunately not... He still only has Liuer left. The prince met him every day after training. They talked, walked around the city, went to boring theater plays. Sometimes the prince would collect it to see the lanterns. On romantic evenings (such as lantern-viewing, something like a picnic) the prince would hug him, kiss him on the head, on the cheek, and sometimes on the lips. Wukong slowly got used to it, worse, unknowingly accepting the prince's feelings. Oh yeah.. just on romantic evenings. They sat on a picnic blanket (Liuer planned everything) Wukong then felt tired after working all day, so he leaned on the prince. Liuer then embraced him with his arms (not wanting to let him go). They watched the lanterns soar higher and higher. Liuer whispered sweet words in his ear, for example: you look beautiful, you are beautiful, etc. Wukong's mind alerted him that it was poison, but on such evenings Wukong was tired and had no strength to resist. He tried to relax and pretend the lanterns were the sun. When Liuer said my sunshine. Wukong replied in a tired voice my moonshine. Only then did he do it unconsciously. The words just came out of him. It sure wasn't great. Maybe cute if they were a couple, but they're not. isn't it? That's what Wukong thought after that. He felt himself slowly, very slowly, being surrounded by darkness. It gets absorbed. His mind screamed. He screamed not to give up. But how long can a lonely light last in the cold and dark? How long will it resist?
Going back to the unexpected things that happened about once a week? It's about short conversations over hated tea with the queen. It was for him... Well, just... Boring. When the queen invited him to tea, he had to dress up in women's clothes because the queen told him that he was a woman and that he should behave like a woman.
"I understand you're having a hard time, honey. You're in a different world. The only one you know. But you are who you are. Unfortunately, because of that mistake at the beginning. With your gender mixed up... But you can count on me if there's a problem.." said the queen. Then Wukong wanted to tear her apart. How dare she? He... he's had enough. And so he died internally at the meeting with the queen. Unfortunately, it was just him and the queen. Maybe if Liuer had been with him, he would have put up with it? But he wasn't there. So he waited, died, and tormented listening to the queen. Sometimes he wandered off. He dreamed of freedom. What was freedom to him? Doing what he wants. Do what you like without caring what anyone thinks. When he wasn't thinking about it, he was thinking again about the untamed mysteries of his mind, which started playing tricks on him. Yes, exactly. At random times, he began to have a golden vision. It made it easier for him to see in the dark, but meeting the queen? NO. He even got problem.
That's how it was now. He was sitting in a meeting with the queen. She was saying something. And he had a golden vision. He wanted to turn it off, but how? The queen noticed that something was wrong with him.
"Honey, are you okay?"
Wukong got scared. His golden vision was gone. He looked at the queen, who had a gentle expression on her face. Wukong nodded and said "yes. I just got a headache. It's nothing."
"Honey. Don't underestimate it. Have some tea. It will help you."
"I.. uhm.. thank you, but I'd like to go back to my room"
"Oh. Good. Go. Liuer will surely come to you soon" did he need the prince's company now? Definitely not. Wukong smiled awkwardly, nodded, and left. It was getting dark down the corridor he was walking through. Now a golden vision would come in handy, Wukong thought.
He kept walking. Something started to ignite. He saw gold again.
Finally, Wukong thought. His joy did not last long. Despite the golden vision, he did not know where he was. Great now I don't know where I am, I could have waited for Liuer. All right, where does this corridor have to end? Wukong thought. He kept walking. It seemed ridiculous to him to get lost in the palace where he lived. But that only showed that he shouldn't be here. There were paintings on both sides of the corridor. Since Wukong didn't know where it was anyway, he decided that he might look at these paintings. Dusts are just portraits of the royal family. Not one person looked happy. The portraits were signed, but Wukong couldn't read. He ignored it. He kept walking. Slowly, examining each portrait. Does everyone really have to look dull and miserable here? Wukong thought. There was even one big portrait. Showing the entire royal family. Wukong only recognized the king, queen, and Liuer. The rest he didn't know. They all looked serious. Too serious. Uh.. after seeing the portraits, he didn't want to meet the rest of this terrifying family. It's not like he even wanted to. The next portrait was of a young similar to Liuer, but a little different? He had a sly smile. Wukong stopped. He carefully analyzed the picture. He couldn't see much color because everything was gold, but still. It seemed to him that he had seen him before... A long time ago... the question was who was it?
The memory flashed quickly before his eyes. It was lightning fast, but he picked it up. One single scene. They were somewhere... In some forest... and there he was (the person in the portrait), smiling friendly. His eyes widened. he remembered. He knew him. Wukong was happy, but then he was scared. Who was he? He felt that someone important... Someone who had betrayed him.... The longer he stood there, the more terrified he became. More questions arose: how did he know him? What did he do to him? And why does he feel fear when he looks at him? His breathing was rapid and uneven. His golden vision faded. The darkness has returned. Something grabbed his shoulder. His heart was beating fast.
"Wukong?" A familiar voice said.
"Liuer?" Wukong involuntarily turned to him.
"Sunshine, what are you doing here? Oh.. you are lost ?"
Wukong nodded again involuntarily.
Liuer hugged him. "You shouldn't be walking around the castle alone..."
"I wanted to go back to my room..."
"Ok... I'll take you. Come"
They used the shadow portal to get to Wukong's room. It was much brighter there. Wukong looked at the prince. For a moment he thought he saw the same one person in the portrait. He got scared. He got sick. The whole world was spinning.
"Wukong?!"
He closed his eyes. Another flash memory. This time he was on some battlefield again? He had this gold and red stick in his hand. Before him was Liuer? No, it wasn't him... It was... Mac? "oh.. the mighty Sun Wukong has graced me with a visit... How nice. Have you decided?" Mac said.
"Never!" Is that what he said?
"Oh.. come on.. you will be useful to me in my kingdom. You know very well that this whole brotherhood is hopeless."
"Stop! What happened to you?!"
"What happened to me?! What happened to you?! I'm just extending a helping hand to you!"
"NO!"
"You wanted it yourself!!" They started fighting.
In the same moment.
"Wukong?!" Liuer said. Wukong was about to fall to the ground, but the prince caught him in his arms. The prince quickly teleported them to the doctor. The doctor looked at it in shock. The prince had a horrified expression on his face. He held Wukong in his arms bridal style.
"Put her here," he pointed to the surgical gown. The doctor quickly took the stethoscope. He checked if Wukong was breathing. Breathing was rapid and uneven. The heart was beating fast. He had a high temperature. Wukong went into convulsions. The doctor put his hand on Wukong's head where the scar was. Wukong groaned.
"What's with her?" Liuer asked. The prince was in fear. He didn't know what happened. He couldn't lose his sun. The doctor did not answer. He quickly walked over to the cupboard with some chemical stuff. He pulled out some containers, bottles with some substances. He put them on the table. He took a glass and poured some liquid into it.
"Lift her head up a little," said the doctor. Liuer picked up. Wukong had his mouth open. The doctor poured a glass of liquid into his mouth. Wukong choked a bit.
"What did you give her?"
"Painkiller, turn her head to the side"
Liuer turned Wukong's head to the side. The doctor rolled up the sleeves of his white coat. He washed his hands. He picked up a scalpel.
"What are you doing?"
"What I Must Do"
Luer nodded. The prince was afraid of losing his sun. How did it happen? his beloved felt fine. How?! The prince didn't know. Wukong groaned in pain.
The doctor in the place of the scar shaved off his hair. He put down the scalpel. He took a bottle of washing up liquid and a cotton swab. He poured some liquid onto a cotton swab and wiped the scar. Then he took a new scalpel. He made a deep cut. Wukong groaned. He began to breathe faster and faster.
The doctor put down the scalpel. He began to whisper some long incantation. Golden beams of magic appeared at the incision site. Then the rays were absorbed by the wound. Wukong groaned in pain. The doctor took a cotton swab and soaked it in disinfectant. He washed the incision site. Then he took a needle and thread and sewed up the wound. He applied the ointment. He took cotton wool and a bandage. He applied cotton wool to the wound and bandaged his head.
"Is she okay?" he asked in a choked voice.
"Probably"
"What's that supposed to mean?!"
"I did what I could..."
"What? But she..."
"I don't know if she'll wake up..."
How did that happen?! The prince was pissed and devastated. Tears ran down his cheeks. He felt everything. Anger, sadness, fear. He can't lose it. He felt powerless. Fate gave him the sun and now fate wants to take it back?! NO! He clenched his hands into fists.
"Prince?"
"She just felt fine... Everything was fine. She took her medicine... She felt fine..."
"I'm afraid not..."
"What do you mean by that?"
The doctor sighed. "The cure worked once..."
"What? Tell me what exactly happened to her..."
"It could have been caused by excessive stress, raising her blood pressure.. plus her powers... Not stabilized... If she wakes up..."
"She will wake up! She must..."
"When she wakes up, she will have to take her meds regularly"
Liuer was devastated. He couldn't believe it. That his sun might go out... No. It won't happen. can't.
"I'll take her back to her room"
The doctor nodded. Liuer picked up Wukong. They passed through the shadow portal. Liuer laid him on the bed.
He looked like he was just sleeping. Tears streamed down the prince's cheeks. He fell to his knees in front of him.
"Why..why didn't you tell me? Please...were you scared? I wouldn't be angry...you could have told me...I was and will be with you...Please Wukong...Sunshine...don't leave me" he put Wukong's hand. "I'm begging you... don't leave me... You're the only sun in this dark realm... Please Wukong..."
What was going on in Wukong's mind then? see.
Wukong was kneeling, panting, his support was a stick, blood flowed from his mouth. Mac. He was standing in front of him. He was looking down on it.
"Don't you think it's time to stop? Stop fighting. Stand by my side." He gave him his hand. Wukong looked at him with hatred.
"I told you.. never!" He pushed his hand away.
"Oh.. stop. Stop pretending in the dark isn't bad at all. Please brother... I don't want to hurt you"
"You already did." Wukong has risen.
"You're pretending to be a hero you're not"
"Maybe you're right... But that doesn't mean I'll become you. Go away while I'm still good."
"Don't make me laugh. You can barely stand..."
Wukong started attacking again. This time he won.
"Don't you dare return to my kingdom again... I will show you no mercy a second time"
"Brother..."
"No, you betrayed me and the rest of the brotherhood. Enjoy your life in your dark kingdom." Wukong turned and walked away. The memory slowly faded until it was gone. Another recovered memory for the collection. lovely. Now what? Is it in the dark? Alone. It's cold and not very nice. Where is he anyway? Does not know. But wait, he hears something... Not clearly.. I think it's Liuer's voice. Wukong has to admit that he was glad. But from what he understands, he's sad... Wukong felt a pang of sadness too. He wonders how long he will stay here...
A ray of sunlight appears in front of him... Wukong wants to reach it. he walks towards him. He goes and goes. He is getting harder with each step. He hears Liuer's voice begging him to stay, not to leave him. He looks at the sunbeam and then at the other side of the darkness. Liuer was with him from the beginning. He didn't leave him... He didn't have anyone else... and here was the problem. He was torn. Again he had no choice. Had but only two options #1 go straight #2 turn around. He stopped.... Why does he always only have two options?

At the time. Everyone found out about this terrible accident. Liuer was still kneeling in front of the bed where Wukong lay. Holding his hand. The queen stood by his side. Trying to comfort him. Whereas the king...

Assembly room.
"Her condition... It is undetermined"
"What's that supposed to mean?" The king looked angrily. "Or better how it came to be"
"Memories..."
"Memories? Made her feel like this?"
"Sorry... There's been an overload."
"Overload?"
"She's like a bomb.. you don't know when her subconscious will start reacting..."
The king slammed his fist against a table. "The whole plan has gone to hell!!"
The king sighed. "I hope you will fix it"
