Poem 1 - Ashes of Rebirth (PRV2)

32 2 7

I'm not the person you think I am,
As time passed, I've changed,
I'm not the one you knew,
I am someone new.

The human they remember,
That's not me anymore,
I was reborn, not like you'd know.

I rose from the ashes,
About to start again,
I can change everything.

As time passes, I let go of the past,
I abandoned who I was,
Wanting to start again,
A new life will soon begin.

There's a contrast between the one I am,
And who I used to be,
We're no longer the same person,
Who I was isn't the same me you see.

My life has changed; it's different now,
I burned from the pain, I rose from my cinders,
The wind blew them away,
Because they're no longer needed.

I and who I used to be are different people,
The past me is dead, no cinders left,
Red roses and black crows,
The blood I bled and the ashes of rebirth.

I had to let go of everything with tears,
I said goodbye to the being I was,
I had to forget about my fears,
To be the person I wanted to become.
