Madisons pov

"Will you guys stop!" Lexa yelled at the two 19 year old boys in the back seat. I looked in the mirror and saw their heads bobbing up and down. You'd think by now they'd act a little mature but here they were laughing and kicking our seats.

"Come on, Lex, let me drive!" Calum, her brother, begged. His head popping over the seat. His dark hair was a mess from the summer heat and rough housing in the back seat.

"Maybe if you had gotten your license when mom told you to you would be able to, but you decided to sit on your lazy ass all day and now I'm forced to drive you everywhere." Lexa was two years younger than Cal, but she had her priorities in check. She was an honor roll student and already had a dance scholarship. Calum on the other hand just graduated and works at a restraunt, but he swears his band will kick off one day.

"Damn she got you." Michael laughed tossing his head back then fixing his currently red hair. I swear this boy can never decide what color he wants his hair to be. He's a god damned rainbow. Michael is my older brother, also part of Calum's band. They've been friends since kindergarten. One year, at Michael's eighth birthday party, a little girl with her frizzy hair pulled back into pigtails came walking in behind Calum. I studied her silently. As much as I wanted to be her friend I didn't talk to her because I was six and socially awkward, I'm still socially awkward. My mom caught me staring at her and introduced us.

"Maddy, this is Lexa." I smiled shyly hiding in my mother's leg.

"I like your hair." Lexa smiled brightly, referring to my naturally red waves. She has always been a bubbly outgoing person, making us polar opposites but we worked.

"Madison, why don't you go show Lexa where the water slide is, I'm sure she'd love to play with you." My mother said giving me a light push.

"Come on Lexa, its this way." I said walking towards the slide, that was actually in plain sight.

"I'll race ya." She giggled widly before taking off running with me behind her. Since that day we've basically been inseperable. We do everything together, including birthdays considering ours are on the same day. There's always been something unique about us, its like we're the same person. I know everyone says that about their best friend, but for me its true. I always feel as though I know what she's thinking or we're thinking the same thing even when we're not together.

"You just passed Luke's house." Michael yelled from the backseat.

"I know dipwad that's why I'm turning around, and you don't need to yell its not like my car is huge, you're literally right behind me." She said rolling her eyes. I let out a soft laugh then focused back on the boy standing outside the house. His curly hair was getting long and almost covered his eyes. He was wearing all black and I mentally scolded him for standing in the summer heat. He had a confused look on his face but it quickly disappeared when we pulled into the drive way.

"Hi Ash!" I squealed getting out of the car. As I began to run to hug my boyfriend I was pushed to the ground by a very stubborn Michael.

"Ashton I've missed you so much!" He yelled tackling him to the ground. "Don't ever leave again the band needs you man, I need you." He began to fake cry.

"Get the fuck off me." Ashton laughed loudly pushing Michael and getting off the ground. Michael made a pouty face before adjusting his eyebrow piercing. I began to get up when an arm was wrapped around my waist.

"Hello, my love." He said placing a small kiss on my lips. "Did you miss me?" He smiled and I thought I might faint. How did I end up with someone as perfect as him?

"So freaking much." I said wrapping my arms around him tight. Michael and Calum, of course, made gagging sounds behind us.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, enough of this where's Luke?" Lexa beamed.

"I think he's upstairs." Ashton said glancing at the house but never removing his arms from around my small body. Lexa gave a bright smile and headed to the front door but was soon passed by two boys.

"Beat ya there." Calum laughed. Lexa let out a huff and ran after them.
