Madison's pov

So Susie was taking over Lexa's body? "Where are we going?" I asked.

"To the cabin." Ashton said plainly.

"What's going to happen there?" I asked.

"We're going to extract Lexa's soul, giving Susie full control but while Susie is in control we are locking up Lexa's body and figuring out what to do from there." Luke said.

"Can't that kill her?" I screamed.

"We have 24 hours."

"Did we even ask Lexa what she thinks?" I looked at my bestfriend. She looked absolutely terrified.

"Just promise to make me better." She sighed. I nodded lightly and we pulled up to a cabin. It was in the middle of nowhere and scary as hell. We got out of the car and entered. The porch creaked as i walked up the steps and the door fell off when i tried to pull it open.

"Great so basically we're all going to die." I mumbled walking into the house. It was very dirty and cluttered with books, all in latin. I walked over to one placing my hand on the table. It sat in something sticky making me pull my hand up quickly. What was this ink? I pulled it closer to my face to see the dark red color and the metallic smell. Blood! I shook my hand vigorously before Ashton came to my side with a towel. As he rubbed off the blood the hard surface of the towel burned my hand.

"What the actual fuck." Lexa yelled as she opened a door. It looked like a cellar but after flicking on the single light hanging from the ceiling, it was similar to a torture chamber.

"This is where you'll be chained up." Luke pointed to the wall where the shackles were. We walked down the steps and i saw dried blood on the walls and a small table pushed in the corner of the room. "That's where the soul will be extracted." He said following my glare. "They tried doing this to my brother, but things went wrong and it turned into a massacre." He sighed looking away. That explains the blood.

"What assures you this wont happen to Lexa?" I asked.

"She's not that far gone." He smiled lightly. "Lex how are you holding up?" He asked. She looked as if she was going to pass out.

"We just need to do it now before i back out." She breathed heavily. Luke nodded and led her to the table.

"Lex!" I called out. "I love you but i cant stay down here and watch them torture you." Sadness was evident in her eyes.

"I understand." She sighed. I ran over pulling my best friend strongly into my arms.

"Promise me no matter what happens you wont give up, you'll stay strong, you wont let go until if or when i tell you its ok." Tears began to stream down my face. I felt her tears matting into my hair.

"I promise." She nodded against me. I released her hand and started back up the stairs. Before i shut the door i took one more glance at my best friend. She seemed sad and distressed but i couldnt help her. I wish i could just take her into my arms and tell her everythinh was better. But thats not how things work this time.

"Ashton!" I called. He turned around giving me a confused look. "Make sure you kill Susie this time." He nodded and i walked the rest of the steps, slamming the door behind me. I ran to the car and sat in the back seat. For the first time in forever, i started praying. It felt so foreign but i didnt care, i just let the words flow.

Please please please save Lexa, she's such a good person and doesnt deserve this. I know i havent been the best person lately and im in no place to ask for favors but i really need this. I need my best friend. Please.

I curled into a ball in the backseat and began to cry. Before i knew it i was drifting to sleep with nothing but Lexa on ny mind. Flashbacks of her trying to teach me to dance. It was our freshman year and we were going to our first highschool dance ever.

"Just move to the beat." She laughed. I began trying to dance like her but it wasnt working. So i just swayed to my own beat trying to shake my butt like Nicki Minaj. Lexa noticed what i was doing and fell to the ground laughing, me following shortly after. "You're too white to function." She laughed.

"Im trying, i swear." I laughed even harder.

I eventually did learn to dance and we rocked it. But i'll never be as goid as Lexa. If Lexa doesnt make it neither will our memories, neither will I.
