Madisons pov
"Oh my God can we leave already?" Michael said for the fifth time. "You can see him tomorrow." He said rolling his eyes. Ashton was standing at the passenger door delaying us from leaving by making stupid comments or planting small kisses on my cheek where I would retaliate and kiss his lips. Michael learned a while ago Ashton and I had no shame in displaying our affection. He once threatened to tell my mom so I made it a point to kiss him in front of her one time before he left. It was obvious that he was uncomfortable so the kiss didn't last long.
"I'm going to go now," I sighed. "So my whiney brother will shut the hell up." I said loudly.
"I'll miss you." He kissed me and backed away from the car.
"To the moon and back babe." I said waving before we pulled out of the driveway.
"You two disgust me." Calum huffed. I simply rolled my eyes.
"Just be thankful your sister is still a virgin." Michael mumbled loudly.
"Ok enough." I said. I wasn't necessarily embarassed by the situation its just awkward to talk about with your brother. I've never told Michael I wasn't a virgin but I assumed he kind of knew the day he found my birth control pills. After stopping by Walgreens for chocolate we were finally back at my house.
"I'll go set up my room for the movie night, you go get the movies." I told Lexa as I began to walk towards the stairs.
"And break!" She yelled before running into the living room. I laughed running upstairs to my room. I reorganized the pillows on my bed making sure her favorites where on her side and setting it up just the way she likes it. After about 15 minutes Lexa finally came back in the room.
"Hey." I said pulling out some pajamas.
"Hey," she said putting in the first movie. "I hope you dont mind, I borrowed a tampon, I kind of started early."
"Of course I don't mind, and you don't have to borrow it, you can keep it." I laughed with her joining. "I started today too."
"Dang two moody girls eating chocolate and watching Disney, its going to be an emotional night." She laughed and plopped herself onto my bed. I quickly changed and joined her.
"So what'd you pick?" I asked grabbing the remote. Before she could answer there was a knock at the door.
"Come in!" I called. Calum entered with Mikey at his heels.
"Can we watch movies with you guys?" He asked sheepishly lile a little kid. I glanced over at Lexa who just gave a light shrug.
"Fine." I said and they ran in.
"But you're sitting on the floor." Lexa called before they could jump on us. They sighed then grabbed the bean bag chairs that were shoved in the corner of my room. I turned my attention back to the screen that was now the main menu for Emperors New Groove.
"You always know just what to pick." I laughed before pressing play.
"I swear you guys are like connected or something." Calum laughed before yawning. I laughed along before thinking it over. There was no way we could really be connected... was there? I mean we did seem to do everything the same and we thought the same, but its not like everything was the same, we didn't even look alike. I mean there was always something different about our friendship but I dont understamd how someone could be the same person in two different bodies. After about 3 more movies Lexa and I were the only ones awake.
"Wanna go in the tree house?" She asked with a smile.
"We haven't been there in years." I laughed.
"Exactly!" She said excitedly. "So yes?"
"I guess." I laughed putting on my shoes. We grabbed pillows, blankets, snacks, movies, my laptop and the beanbags from Michaels room. After grabbing the necessities we ran through the backyard then in the small area of woods. Our treehouse in the forest and semi self built. It was always sturdy but a few years ago one of the steps fell and Lexa broke her leg so we promised to stay away. Well we're back and rebelling. I have to admit we were getting way too big to be climbing up into this tree house though. Luckily we made it without injury. We set up our camp then went out on we called our porch. We layed out a blanket then sat laying under the stars.
"Hey Lex?" I said quietly.
"Yeah?"
"Do you ever feel like nothing makes sense?" I said lightly. There was a moment of silence before she finally replied.
"All the time."
"What's going on?" I asked rolling over to face her.
"Have you noticed that there's something different about us?" She said facing me.
"Well yeah kind of but I never thought too much about it." I shrugged.
"Me either until we started talking about destiny in class. The topic interested me so I went home and searched it and it said when people have a special bond its usually because they have some past history and they were meant to be reunited one day, sometimes its for the best but sometimes its for the worst. I started reading up on some myths, of people who have been one soul in two bodies. It is caused by a dissaproval in a past relationship and they are trying to reconnect in present day. Do you think theres a chance we could be one soul in two bodies?" She said with a blank expression. She didn't look distressed and she didn"t look satisfied. She just looked blank.
"Lex, i think you're overthinking this. They were just legends, I mean sure it sounds kind of convincing but I don't know if there's any possible way for that to be true." I said thinking over what I had just consumed.
"Yeah I guess you're right." She smiled. "Thanks Maddy."
"Anytime." I smiled back before wrapping my arms around her for a hug.
