Lexa's POV

"They're after your bond, they're after you and Lexa."

Suddenly, everything made sense in my head. From the strange connection, to the new article I read. I felt hot tears roll down my cheeks. "Lexa!" Madison practically shrieked before hugging me tightly. I let myself sob into her chest as she held me close. I screwed my eyes shut in hope that this was all a bad dream and when I woke up I would still be in the tree house, but no. I opened my eyes and saw the worry on my brother's and Mikey's face. My arms clung to Madison like my life depended on it. It was strange because now that I think about it, we barely gave each other hugs. Only when we thought absolutely necessary. And this was one of these moments.

"I'm..." I started, but a hiccup interrupted me. I always got the hiccups when I cried. I hated it more than I hated math. "I'm fine, but I have something to tell you guys." I said as I released from Madison's hold. All eyes were on me as I wiped away the tears and regained my composure.

"This," I turn around my laptop screen, "this woman had a bond as well, but to her twin brother. They played the Ouija board and contacted their grandma. She told them that someone was going to come after them. About six weeks later her brother died. His heart just stopped beating." I tell them. Madison stares at me intently along with Calum an Michael. "I get it now! They couldn't figure out who or what killed him. He told his sister he was murdered. Someone must have taken his soul!" I try to explain, yet I still didn't get any response.

"From what I researched, old souls are said to be the soul of someone from a previous life that returns in a present day body. The question is, who's soul do we have?" I question the group. Calum and Michael turn to each other with an expression of shock. I am guessing they never thought of this.

"I don't know.." Mikey started.

"Our families have had to had contact before now. Like before any of us were born, right? What is the coincidence that you and Madison are bonded as well as Michael and I?" Calum questioned. I sighed and ran a hand through my curly hair. We are freaks. This doesn't happen to normal people. Why couldn't we just be normal? Then we could he happy and stress free. A brilliant idea came into my head, that I knew neither Madison or Michael would agree to willingly, but as long as Cal and myself can persuade them, we were fine.

"Shit." I heard Madison curse. My eyes adverted to her. She looked worried. Her eyes were wide and staring out of my window. "What are we gonna do about Ash and Luke? This is serious. I don't want to lose Ashton over this! I don't want to lose anyone!" She exclaimed. Luke never even came into my mind, I was worried only about myself and my best friend. I forgot how this would effect everyone we are in contact with.

"We have to tell them." I said dazed. I jumped off my bed and started searching frantically for the thing that I vowed to never do again. After a traumatic situation with Cal, we promised to stop. To never touch it again, but now its important. Not curious child's play. This is life or death.

"Lexa," Calum said, but I was too busy searching for the box. "Lexa! What are you doing?" He said a bit louder. There it is! I took my desk chair and stood ontop of it to reach the top shelf of my closet.

There, all hidden in the back, was the Ouija board I was given from my grandpa. "We are not doing that!" Madison practically yelled.

"Do you want answers?!" I countered. Everyone was quiet. "That's what I thought. We will stop by Luke and Ashton's. Hopefully they will understand what we are trying to do. If everything goes alright, we will all head down the cemetery and start this. Okay?" I held the box close to me. I felt my heart pound in my chest.

"I'm not going to let you do it by yourself," Madison gave in.
