Madisons pov

I can not believe i just did that. I had chills everywhere and they refused to go away. I looked back glancing to see the distance between me and the cops. When i looked forward i ran into a branch everyone else avoided causing me to fall.

"Fuck!" I yelled as i held my sprained ankle. Ashton turned around but i shook my head as he headed towards me. The cops got me and the others took off out of the gate.

"Punk kids." The officer said cuffing me. "What were you doing here anyway?" He asked leading me to the car.

"Callin upon spirits." I said trying to sound like it was no big deal.

"Have you ever been arrested before?" He asked.

"No." I glanced out the window of the backseat.

"Well since i know your father and its your first offense we're just going to fine you and let you go." He smirked. I would have thanked him if he hadnt mentioned my father. The ride back to the station was awkward, i'd never been in a police car before.

As we drove back to the station we pulled up to the stoplight next to Lexa's car, Calum was in the front seat frantically hitting Lexa so she would turn and look at me. When she did everyone gave me a panicked look but i nodded my head assuring i was ok, the light turned green and we took off again. I sat in the cell waiting for my paperwork to be done.

"I never got your name." I called to the officer.

"Jefferson." He replied. "I used to work with your dad." The name triggered a small memory of someone my dad used to talk about. "How is your dad by the way?" Oh great here's the always dreaded question.

"I dont know, he walked out on us 6 years ago, havent seen him since." I sighed fiddling with my thumbs.

"Oh.." he stated awkwardly. "Sorry to hear that."

"Me too." I mumbled. After a few more minutes of silence i was released.

"Have a nice day Ms. Clifford, and no more trouble making." He winked and i faked a laugh. Great now i have to walk home. As i walked to the house my phone rang with an unknown number.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Meet us at the treehouse, no time to explain but i think i found something." Then they hung up. It sounded like Lexa so i ran the rest of the way. I saw her car parked in my driveway so i knew she must be here. I ran to the back of the house, through the woods and to the treehouse.

"Lex?" I called looking around. I heard a thump from the top so i began climbing the steps. I got to the top and noticed Fredrick was missing. I know it sounds childish but i panicked. "Lex this isnt funny!" I yelled. "You know i dont like people messing with my unicorn." I called again glancing around. It seemed as though no one was out there. I heard some rustling then i saw Fredrick laying by a tree and i rushed to his aid. I ran down the steps then to the tree and picked him up. He had leaves, dirt and branches stuck in his fur. "Ugh i hate you guys!" I said dusting him off. "This is no time to be playing around." But still no reply. I began to get a little worried. I tip toed lightly afraid of what might actually be happening. I saw a shadow with curly hair run by into the trees. "Lex you're so obvious." I laughed rushing over there but i still didnt see her. I gave up and decided to take Fredrick back to the tree house. I dusted him off then dusted my jeans. As i was coming to an end there was a rustle and a giggle. When i looked ahead there it was. A small dark figure with the looks of Lexa. It was the spirit. "Susie?" I questioned in shock.

"You never said goodbye." She smiled evily. The Ouiji board. Before i could react she pounced on top of me. I struggled but there was no use. I let out the loudest scream i could manage but nothing further. I felt all the air get pulled out of my body and watched as a small bright teal light floating in front of me. Was this my soul? Her smile became more devious and her eyes met mine.

"Got it." She laughed releasing her grip on my shirt. My head hit the ground with a thud and the world stopped. I died.
