{ALEX POV}
Pre-death, 1994
My head and eyes was on my chem book. The lamp was on, there was coffee on my table, and everything with my studies was well. I then heard a tapping on my window. I turned to see Luke who was smiling through the glass. I headed to the window and opened it for Luke to climb.
"Hey hun," he said as he got up from the floor. I smile as I head back to my desk.
"Hey sugar, what brings you here?" I ask as I read my book again. He hesitated before closing my chem book. "What was that for?"
"I have something serious to tell you," a nerve shivered down my spine. Is he breaking up with me? I took a deep breath.
"What is it?" I say confidently though deep down I had a bad feeling.
"I'm moving out of town.." Luke's bright smile faded as he spoke each word. There goes my bad feeling.
"Wow," I tell him before putting my head down.
"Look, I really don't wanna leave you hun, but my mom doesn't want to listen," he comments as he held my shoulder. I took a deep breath before meeting his hazel brown eyes.
"I can't say goodbye Lu, I don't want to. You know how they always say, goodbyes last forever?" I claim as my eyes made a river of tears.
"This one won't Lex, I promise you," he smiled at me softly as I gave him a hug. "Just make sure this doesn't affect you, okay?"
I hesitated. "Okay," I say.
As I expected, he left the next day. I cried all day the time he left. But like Luke said, this goodbye won't last forever.
A/N That's all for now. So sorry if I haven't been updating, I forgot to tell you I started class just yesterday and today was my second day of school 😘 Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this short but cute chapter. Bye :)
