➵ TILL KINGDOM COME - COLDPLAY
'just say you'll wait, you'll wait for me.'Rory was woken by the horrid shriek of her alarm. She slammed her hand down on the clock to stop the blaring sound. Pansy wasn't in her bed but she hadn't made her bed yet so Rory assumed she was in the bathroom.
She stepped out of her bed & put her brown slippers on. Rory walked into the bathroom & leant against the door frame. Just like she thought, Pansy was in there. She was braiding her hair, Rory could see the concentration on her face in the mirror. "Morning, pans," Rory said, making her jump.
"Morning rors, how you feeling?"
"My head hurts a bit but I don't feel dizzy anymore so that's an improvement,"
"Did Madame pomfrey give you anything for the headaches?"
"Nah, but im sure it'll fade."
After the both of them had gotten ready, they made their way down to the great hall with lots of time before lesson.
The dungeons were absolutely freezing, especially in late winter. The Slytherins usually had to make extra fires in the common room to warm it up a bit. As Rory and Pansy walked, Daphne Greengrass bumped into them. "Oh hi, Daph," Rory smiled.
"Oh hey!" Daphne responded.
"Where are you going?" Pansy asked.
"Back to our dorm- I forgot my charms book,"
Rory and Pansy laughed, "See you later,"
Rory always liked Daphne- she was the type of person that you could tell your deepest secret to and she wouldn't tell a soul. She was one of the kindest Slytherin's Rory had ever met.
When they walked into the bustling great hall, Enzo's face lit up. Rory sat down next to him and he smiled at her, that same twinkle in his eye. She had to force herself to stop admiring his eyes. For some reason, she found them extremely compelling.
There was no denying, Enzo was good looking. But Rory had never thought of him as anything more than her best friend. She had always known how handsome he was but she wouldn't dream of telling him. He wouldn't shut up about it if she did.
"How you feeling?"
"Much better, my head hurt a bit earlier but it's gone now." Rory smiled. "Can you pass me the orange juice please?" she added, unable to reach the beverage across the table.
Enzo passed her the orange juice and she began to pour it into her glass, spilling a load of it in the process. Some of it got on her white shirt & she groaned with annoyance. "For Merlin's sake," I sighed.
Enzo grabbed a napkin and cleaned the orange juice but there was still a slight stain. Luckily, Rory could cover the stain with her emerald green tie. "Can you see it?" she asked. After Enzo shook his head in response, she sighed with relief.
"Hello to you too, rory," Blaise said sarcastically.
Rory laughed, "Good morning you lot," "Morning," everyone chorused, earning a chuckle from her. "What lessons does everyone have?" she added.
"Potions," Pansy, Theo & Draco said in unison.
"Ugh I have divination," Enzo sighed.
Rory laughed, "What about you two?"
"I have divination too," Blaise said.
"Seriously? I'm by myself. I have transfiguration," Mattheo groaned.
We all laughed & Draco said, "Poor little Mattheo, something didn't go his way,"
"Says you," Rory laughed. They all laughed even more & Mattheo rolled his eyes.
