➵ ALL I WANTED- PARAMORE
The Slytherins, Gryffindors and a few Ravenclaws were sitting in their defence against the dark arts classroom when Professor Snape strutted in, closing all of the blinds with the flick of his wand.
Rory shared a look with Mattheo & they tried to contain their laughter. "Where's Lupin?" she whispered.
"No clue." Mattheo whispered back.
"Turn to page three hundred and ninety-four." Snape said, slowly. The room let out a chorused sigh and turned the page.
"Sir, where is professor lupin?" Mattheo piped up. Rory pinched him & he winced.
"That's not your concern, Riddle. Your professor finds himself incapable of teaching in the present moment." Snape spat. "Turn to page three hundred and ninety-four." he said again.
"Werewolves? We're learning about hinkypunks and red caps are we not?" Rory said, loudly.
"Quiet." he answered. Rory rolled her eyes and started reading the page. Snape absolutely despised Rory, Mattheo, Theo & Pansy. He was almost always taking points away from Slytherin (his own house, as well) because of them and telling them off whenever he got the opportunity. He didn't mind Blaise or Enzo— he had an odd soft spot for Draco. "Now, which one of you can tell me the difference between an animagus and a werewolf?"
"An animagus is a wizard who chooses to turn into an animal. A werewolf doesn't have a choice." Granger said, despite Snape ignoring her.
"Werewolves turn on full moons, they forget who they are once they've transitioned. The werewolf can only respond to the call of its kind." Rory continued, earning a scowl from Hermione.
She laughed to herself but was interrupted when Draco howled, imitating a werewolf, from the front of the classroom. Draco was sitting with Enzo at the front, Rory was next to Mattheo at the back & Pansy was next to a Ravenclaw girl in the right back corner. Rory, Mattheo, Enzo, Draco and Pansy laughed to themselves.
"Thank you, Mr Malfoy." Snape said slowly. Rory laughed out loud. Snape never told Draco off— but Rory supposed that was because of his father. She noticed Snape watch Draco send a note to Potter in the shape of a bird and do nothing about it, which earned an eye-roll from her.
"On my desk on Monday morning, two rolls of parchment on the werewolf with emphasis on recognising it." Snape ordered. The whole class groaned. Rory had quidditch practice all weekend so that meant she was going to have to do it tonight or tommorow if she didn't want a detention from Snivellus.

A few hours later, Rory was in the library with her brother. "Why's he making you learn about werewolves? I thought you don't do werewolves to at least fourth term." Cedric asked.
"Exactly! I asked him but he just told me to be quiet."
Cedric laughed, "Classic Snape."
"Try having him as your head of house, he has something against me, Mattheo, Theo and Pansy for some odd reason."
"I can't think why."
Rory laughed, "Well, I need help with this assignment. I don't know a single thing about werewolves— you've already studied them."
He sighed, "Okay, fine, but you owe me, Rory."
Rory smiled, "Thank you." They sat down on a table and Rory fetched the books Cedric told her to find.
She dropped the heavy books down & sat next to him. "Merlin, I've never held such heavy books before." she scoffed.
He laughed, "Do you want to learn or not?"
