➵ SOMEONE TO STAY- VANCOUVER SLEEP CLINIC
"we all need someone to stay"Rory caught up with her brother as the students emerged from the great hall after the drawn-out dinner. "Hello." he smiled as she tapped him on the shoulder.
"You're not thinking about entering, right?" she blurted.
Cedric sighed, "I'm not sure yet, why?"
"Please don't, you'll probably get yourself hurt—maybe even killed."
He rolled his eyes, "You worry too much, Rory. They wouldn't of done it if it wasn't safe enough. Plus, it's not like I'm not bad at physical work."
"It's not you I'm worried about, Ced. You'd be up against one of the Durmstrang boys— well, men. Have you seen how intimidating they are? I reckon they could crush you in an instant."
He laughed, "I'm still thinking about it."
Rory sighed in defeat, "Promise me you won't any make any decisions yet? And when you do, tell me before anyone."
"I promise." The siblings did their signature sacred pinky promise and said goodbye to each other.
Rory walked down to the dungeons by herself. When she arrived, she went straight up to her dorm, which she now only shared with Pansy- not Tracey and Daphne.
Pansy was sat on her (double) bed with her cat, Whiskey, and Stevie. "Hi." Rory's best friend smiled at her.
"Hi. Cedric might enter the tournament. I tried to convince him out of it but I reckon he's not gonna listen." Rory said, picking up Stevie and sitting down next to Pansy.
Pansy raised her eyebrows, "He's gonna get himself killed, I'm telling you."
"That's what I said." Rory said, before standing up and heading towards her desk.
"What are you up to?"
"Just gonna write to my dad— I've been having these weird side effects from the full moon and I need to know if they're normal or not."
Pansy nodded and went back to stroking the cats. Rory grabbed a roll of parchment and begun writing her letter.
------
Dear Dad,
I've been having these weird side effects recently- I can't tell if they're normal or not.
Yesterday I did something really bad to somebody and I don't know whether to blame the wolf or myself. I've been having symptoms like;
- heightened emotions (especially anger)
- super hungry
- for some reason silver burns my skin?
- heightened senses (mainly smell)
- my insomnia has gotten worseAlso, Hogwarts is hosting the Triwizard Tournament this year. You have to be seventeen or over to enter though. Cedric is thinking of entering but I really don't want him to- he might get badly injured. There's two other schools here, Durmstrang and Beauxbatons. The Durmstrang are absolutely terrifying- the Beauxbatons are annoyingly gorgeous.
Write back as soon as you can please.
Love you so much,
Rory x------
She folded up the parchment and slipped it into an envelope. "Just going down to the owlery, I'll be back in like ten minutes." Rory informed Pansy and she nodded in response.
Rory left her new dorm and walked through the common room. "Where you off to?" Blaise asked.
"Owlery." she said, walking past him.
