AS IT WAS- HARRY STYLES
'in this world, it's just us. you know it's not the same as it was.'

Over the course of the next few weeks, the wall by the entrance to the great hall was covered in Decrees introduced by Umbridge. She had completely taken over Hogwarts and they were learning absolutely nothing in D.A.D.A.

Since making up with her friends, Rory had been much happier. She hadn't cried in a few weeks- which was a record for her. It was October the twentieth and the air was starting to get icy. Rory loved it when the weather begun getting colder- it meant she could start wearing jeans & cozy jumpers and sit by the fire in the evenings.

They were all gathered around the courtyard, Professor Trelawney quivering in her spot. Filch hobbled over to the trembling Divination Professor and handed her (lots of) trunks to her. "This is absolutely cruel. She hasn't done anything wrong!" Lavender Brown squealed from behind Rory. She couldn't help but agree. Sure, Trelawney was as mad as a hatter but she was one of them. She had worked at Hogwarts for years.

The large metal doors swung open and Umbridge waltzed out of them with her usual creepy grin plastered across her face. She approached Trelawney with a menacing smile as the crowds of Hogwarts students watched in anticipation.

Harry pushed past lots of people and stood in between Rory and Enzo. "What's going on?" He whispered, his chest heaving.

"Dunno, apparently Trelawney failed her evaluation." Ron answered instead.

"Six..." Trelawney stuttered, almost tumbling over her trunks in the process. "Sixteen years I've... I've lived and taught here. Hogwarts is my home."

Rory frowned, her eyebrows sinking. As much as Rory wasn't fond of her, she didn't deserve to be fired. As sane as Divination professors went, she wasn't that bad.

Trelawney began weeping and wiped her soggy eyes with her baggy, scruffy sleeve. "You... you can't do this."

Umbridge gave her a sarcastic sympathetic smile, "Actually, I can." She lifted a piece of parchment with a ministry logo on the top to prove her point. Rory's blood boiled at her words. She was honestly the most frustrating person she had ever came across- and she's had to put up with Marcus Flint and Charlotte Anderson.

Mcgonagall pushed past Rory and Harry, rushing to Sybil's side in an instant. She wrapped her arms around her comfortingly. Rory always admired Mcgonagall. She was always her favourite professor- simply because of her undying confidence, which was hilarious at times. Plus, she actually cared about her students- which was an area most Professors lacked in. She was like a mother to Sirius, too.

"Something you'd like to say, dear?" Umbridge pouted towards Mcgonagall. She was stupid enough to start a vocal argument with Minerva Mcgonagall. Mcgonagall always won.

"Oh, there are several things I would like to say!" Minerva spat, a rich scowl on her face. She resumed comforting Trelawney, handing her tissues and rubbing her shoulders. "There there, shh."

Out of nowhere, the same doors Umbridge had previously walked through had burst open with a large rattle. Dumbledore strutted through the doors and into the courtyard whilst everyone stared in awe. As much as Rory hated him, he knew how to make an entrance. "Professor Mcgonagall, might I ask you to escort Sybil back inside?" Umbridge didn't flinch at his words. Mcgonagall lead Sybil out of the courtyard- Trelawney thanking Dumbledore a million times.

"Dumbledore may I remind you that, under the terms of Educational Decree Number twenty-three, as enacted by the Minister-"

"You have the right to dismiss my teachers. However, you do not have the right to exile them from school grounds." Dumbledore interrupted, coldly. "That power remains with the headmaster."
