➵ NOT A LOT, JUST FOREVER- ADRIANNE LENKER
'Not a lot, just forever intertwined, sewn together.'The students arrived at Hogwarts late at night on the Sixth of January. Rory had barely spoken to Blaise, Mattheo or Theo on the train. They were acting slightly odd again and Rory didn't quite know what to do about it. Had something important happened with The Dark Lord over Christmas? Was Harry a target? Rory had so many questions but she knew that by asking them, she'd ruin her friendships.
So instead of asking those burning questions, she sat in the common room with the company of Enzo, Daphne, Tracey and Blaise at ten pm. "Guys, promise you won't judge if I tell you this." Tracey blurted.
"We'd never," Rory replied.
Tracey looked down at her rings, twisting them around her bony fingers. "I'm seeing someone— someone you lot aren't very fond of."
"Oh Merlin, who is it?" Blaise sighed.
Tracey took a deep breath, "Lucian Bole."
Rory's jaw dropped. Enzo scoffed, rather loudly, actually. Blaise burst into laughter and Daphne's eyes were as wide as a tunnel. "Lucian Bloody Bole?" Rory laughed.
"You said you wouldn't judge!" Tracey protested.
"Ew, Trace! You're way too pretty for him! He looks like a demented goblin!" Daphne exclaimed.
Enzo and Blaise turned to each other and burst into a fit of laughter. Rory wacked her boyfriend's arm as a warning. "What, so are you two like together?" Rory asked, wanting to know more.
"Not yet— but we exchanged letters over Christmas. He said he wanted to kiss me." Tracey answered, which only made Blaise and Enzo cackle again. Rory gave them a warning look but they carried on laughing.
"Oh, Trace." Daphne sighed, shaking her head. Rory couldn't help but join in with the laughter. She didn't mean to laugh but Lucian Bole really was ugly. He hasn't had a girlfriend since he was second year— and that was only because the girl lost a bet. He was two years older than Tracey, to make matters worse.
Out of nowhere, Lexi burst into the common room and threw a copy of The Daily Prophet at Rory. "Rory, you might wanna read this." she sighed, sitting down next to Blaise.
Rory's eyebrows furrowed and she scanned the newspaper. In big bold letters, the words BELLATRIX LESTRANGE AND TEN OTHER CONVICTS ESCAPE FROM AZKABAN. Underneath that, it read; With the help of Notorious mass murderer, SIRIUS BLACK.
"What the fuck?" she blurted. Sure, Bellatrix may of been Sirius' cousin but there was no way he'd help her and ten other prisoners escape.
"I know, there's no way he's helping them, right?" Lexi asked.
Rory nodded but she looked at Blaise, who had his head down and was picking at his thumb. She looked at Enzo and motioned towards Blaise— which only made him frown. "Here, read it." Rory said, chucking the newspaper at Enzo.
Enzo's eyebrows knitted together as he read. "That's absolutely ridiculous."
Rory nodded but motioned towards Blaise, Daphne and Tracey, knowing that their parents were possible deatheaters. Enzo nodded, understanding what Rory was implying instantly.

Over the next two weeks, Rory and Enzo attended multiple meetings. They were becoming stronger by the minute— Harry's teaching really was spectacular. Soon, he was going to begin teaching them patronuses— which Rory was quite nervous for.
On another note, the first O.W.L exam took place in three weeks time. Every night, Rory and Enzo studied as hard as they possibly could, sometimes even with the help of Hermione in the library. Despite Rory not having too much care for her subjects, she still wanted to succeed. That was the competitiveness in her speaking, really.
