That Goddamn Twinkle - ENZO BERKSHIRE

"Dementor, dementor!" Draco exclaimed, teasing Potter.

Rory rolled her eyes. She didn't mind Potter- Hermione Granger was the one she didn't like. In first year, she told everyone in the school that he who must not be named was Mattheo's father (she wasn't wrong but only his friends knew about his parentage in full detail). The whole school made fun of him for over a year all because of Hermione.

Draco, Theo, Blaise, Mattheo and Enzo put their hoods up and pretended to be dementors. Rory sighed. She hated it when Enzo got involved with Draco's bullying. Unfortunately, he engaged in most of Malfoy's torments towards Potter.

Hermione grabbed Harry by the shoulder and dragged him away.  Hagrid soon walked over with a big grin on his face. "This is buckbeak! He's a hippogriff- isn't he beautiful?" He beamed.

Draco took a massive bite out of his green apple and Rory cringed. "Just make out with the fucking thing at this point," she whispered. Pansy & Mattheo laughed.

Draco rolled his eyes sarcastically, "Get over yourself, Rory,"

"-very easily offended. You do not want to insult a hippogriff. it may just be the last thing you ever do." Hagrid explained.

"Merlin, why have it in the school then?" Pansy whispered & Rory and Theo laughed.

"Now, who'd like to come and say hello?" Hagrid exclaimed, clapping his hands together. Rory was pre-occupied being zoned out before she realised that everyone had backed further away until only her and Enzo were left. She looked at him and their eyes widened.

"Ah! Lorelai and Lorenzo! Well done! Come on over," He smiled. Rory groaned and rubbed a hand over her face. "Merlin," she muttered under her breath.

Her and Enzo slowly approached Hagrid, regretting their (accidental) decision.

"You have to let buckbeak make the first move. Once you've approached him, you will bow and he will bow back to you if he trusts you- if not, then we have a problem." Hagrid informed. Rory took a step forward and slowly bowed. She could sense Enzo's eyes on her and tensed up. Rory got nervous when it went silent & the beast hadn't yet moved.

Then, Enzo stepped next to her and bowed as well. Not long after, buckbeak bowed to the two of them. Rory sighed with relief and smiled at Enzo, he smiled back.

"Go on! Pet him!" Hagrid exclaimed. Rory slowly approached buckbeak and reached her hand toward his beak. He made a weird sound but soon adapted to her touch and let her stroke him. He was a beautiful creature, really. His wings were a gorgeous grey with darker freckles dotted all over his back. The look in his yellow eye was piercing yet so soft- if you looked close enough, that is.

Rory smiled and motioned for Enzo to come over. He stood next to her and did the same thing.    Fortunately, the bird hadn't killed either of them yet.

"Well done! Now he'll let you two ride him!" Hagrid said and lifted Rory up and onto the bird without warning.

"Hagrid!" she exclaimed. He placed her on the bird and she panicked. Then, he propped Enzo onto the bird behind her, calming her nerves a little bit. Rory froze when she felt his arms snake around her waist.

Hagrid patted buckbeak's lower back and they were off. He started galloping and eventually flapped his wings. "Merlin's beard!" Rory shouted.

Enzos grip around her waist tightened and she got that familiar butterfly feeling in her stomach. Buckbeak flew over the black lake and Rory beamed. The castle shone bright from the reflection of the shimmering lake. The stone walls complimented the body of water perfectly.
