In Seaside Cave 

Pignati: Everyone ready for bed? 

McFly: I think so? I'm just making sure I have all my sleeping accessories. Night cap, blanket, pillow,... Hey has anyone seen my stuffed Bewear? 

Aidan: Beats me. I have no idea. 

Jade: Since when have you had a stuffed Bewear? 

McFly: Since I was an Elekid. 

Jade: ... Really? 

Harmony: I do not believe I have seen this stuffed Bewear anywhere, considering Bewears are living organisms made of... 

Shanir: Harmony, just, shut up. 

Adam: You guys looking for a stuffed Bewear? 

McFly: Yeah, where is it? 

Adam: Ava and I gave it to Ontario. He's, been a bit of a mess recently. 

Pignati: Oh. 

Adam: He said he wanted us to sleep next to him away from you guys if that's alright. 

Jade: I don't see a problem with that. 

Adam: Alright then. leaves 

Ava: rubbing Ontario's head You holding up buddy? 

Ontario: laying down sideways holding the stuffed Bewear sniff No... not really. sniff My 'sister' turned out to be fake. 

Ava: Oh, it's gonna be alright. 

Ontario: Easy for you to say. sniff You and Adam probably met your family before. You guys got to be a family with Aidan. I got none of that. I never met my parents, and none of the other Oshawatt's wanted to play with me saying that I was 'different'. No one wanted to be with me, until Shanir came along. But it turns out that was all a lie. 

Ava: still caressing his head 

Adam: How he holding up? 

Ava: Not well honestly. 

Adam: walks over to Ontario Hey, listen. You've still got a family here. Blaise, Pignati, McFly, and the others treat you like family. 

Ontario: sniff But do they see themselves as family? Or just companions on an adventure together? I know you can't understand what it's like being a starter Pokemon, but it's not all sunshine and roses you know. You guys get to roam free and be with your family, while the three of us are sent to starter centers to get ready to find a new trainer. But not every Pokemon finds a trainer there. What do you think happens to them? Being told that you'll find a lovely family after being ripped away from your birth parents only to never find one? How do you think they feel? I wanted to find a trainer to call me family, but no one wanted me. I thought I was going to be alone forever. I know what Team Plasma is doing is wrong, but what if their message of liberating Pokemon has some merit. Us starters are taken from our parents with the hopes of finding a new family, but some never do. Why can't we get the chance to roam free like all the others? Instead of being offered a promise that might not happen. 

Adam: ... 

Ava: ... looks over at Adam 

Adam: ... Look, it's getting late. I think we should get some sleep. In the morning we can talk to the others. 

Ontario: ... ok. 

Ava: Good. 

Adam: Oh, and one more thing. hands him a Rare Candy 

Ontario: Huh? Is this...? sees Adam nod How did you...? 

Adam: Good sense of smell. And who knows, you might need it one day. 

Ontario: ... thank you.the three cuddle together before going to sleep. At the same time, Shanir peeks her head over seeing how distressed Ontario is after what she said to him the other day, before slithering back to the others 

the next dayeveryone is seen sleeping, aside from Harmony 

Adam and Ava: rushing over to Harmony Harmony! 

Harmony: Adam. Ava. What is the matter? 

Adam: You need to wake the others up. Now! 

Harmony: Of course. mimics a rooster, waking everyone up 

Pignati: Gah! What is that sound? 

McFly: Is it morning already? 

Adam: Guys, we have a problem. 

Ava: Ontario ran away! 

Everyone else: WHAT!? 

Jade: How do you know that? 

Adam: Because he left a note saying he ran away. shows them the note 

McFly: ... He misspelled I. 

Jade: Where could he be!? He could be anywhere! 

Shanir: ... This is my fault. I shouldn't have yelled at him like that. 

Adam: Whatever the case, we have to find him. Thankfully, we have a keen sense of smell. 

Ava: And sense Adam and I were next to him, we can track his scent. 

Shanir: I'm going with you. 

Adam: No. You stay and deal with Team Plasma. Ava and I can find him ourselves. 

Aidan: A-Are you sure dad? 

Ava: Aidan, my son. puts her paw on his shoulder I know you're worried about us leaving again, but don't worry. Just like before, we'll come back to you. 

 Aidan: Promise? 

Ava: Promise. kisses his forehead before hugging him 

Aidan: Come back safe. 

Ava: We will. 

Adam: Ava, let's move. 

Pignati: Good luck you two. 

Adam: Thank you. heads out with Ava to find Ontario 

Pignati: Come on, let's keep moving. 

Shanir: internally What have I done?

Bonus: 

Team Plasma Base 

Shimmer: Status update. Where's that traitor? 

Grunt: Our sources tell us that the escape pod crash landed in Humilau City. 

Shimmer: And did you spot her there? 

Grunt: Well... yes. But there's good new and bad news depending on how you feel. 

Shimmer: Spill it. 

Grunt: Our forces say she was spotted alongside a trainer with an Emboar, Flygon, and Vaporeon to name a few. 

Shimmer: She's with them? 

Grunt: Well when I asked for further observations she wasn't there anymore. We do suspect she went somewhere south to either Undella Town, or Seaside Cave. 

Shimmer: I see. That is all. Shantae. 

Shantae: Yes Shimmer? 

Shimmer: Guard the base. I'm heading out. 

Shantae: To do what? 

Shimmer: Finish the job. Oh, one more thing. throws her a Rare Candy If things get heated, hold nothing back. 

Shantae: Of course. watches as Shimmer leaves
