Episode 90

In Nacrene City 

Lasagna: So this is Nacrene City. 

Jade: A old railroad town converted into studios for people to live in. That's so awesome! 

Harmony: Indeed. It allows the past to remain intact, while allowing the future to prosper in new ways. 

Aidan: And in an era where things seem to become more modern and sleeker, it's nice to see that this old style of building has withheld time. 

McFly: You can say that again. I wonder what this place looked like a hundred years ago? 

Ontario: Probably lots of trains, cowboys, time machine cars, cactuses, ... 

McFly: What was that? 

Ontario: Nothing. 

Pignati: Well I'm excited to check out the museum tomorrow. How bout you guys. 

Harmony: Definitely. 

Pignati: Alright then, can't wait. gets a call from Shanir Hold on, let me take this. answers Hello? 

Shanir: Pignati. You with the others? 

Pignati: Yeah, in Nacrene City. Why? 

Shanir: I need the others to hear this. It's important. 

Pignati: Ok. Hey guys! Shanir wants to speak with us! 

everyone huddles around Pignati 

Ontario: Hi Shanir! 

Shanir: Good to see you guys all safe. Listen, I might have a solid lead on Shimmer's location. 

Jade: That's great! 

McFly: Where is she? 

Shanir: Aidan, have you checked in with your parents recently? 

Aidan: A few days ago yeah, why are you asking? 

Shanir: pans the camera down to show Adam and Ava next to her I found them out here patrolling the city. Nothing happened to them thankfully. 

Adam: Hi son! How's your travels? 

Ava: Have you felt ill at all? Should I send you some soup? 

Aidan: tad embarrassed Mom, I'm fine. But what are you two doing out in Castelia City at night? 

Adam: Well, you see. We were just chilling in the park, when we saw this Misdreavus show up asking for help. 

Ava: She said that her name was Shantae, the Servine from Team Plasma that, well you know. 

Adam: Anyway, she asked us to track down N as she wanted to find him so that he could talk to Shimmer to see what's going on with her. 

Ava: We agreed and started combing the city trying to pick up a scent before running into Shanir and told her what we were up to. 

Shanir: And that's when I told them that apparently Shantae left to find Shimmer, and that more than likely, she's with Shimmer somewhere around Castelia Park. All alone. 

Lasagna: That, doesn't sound good. 

Aidan: I swear to Arceus, if she thinks about murdering more Pokemon in that park I WILL...! 

Shanir: Look, you have your own adventure. I'm right next to the park so I can handle it. I'll tell you what I find. 

Pignati: Ok. Be safe you guys. 

Shanir: We will. ends call 

Jade: So Shantae turned tail on us? 

McFly: Seems like a huge leap when we first met her as a ghost, but maybe she was manipulated by Shimmer. 

Lasagna: And now those two are probably conspiring against us now. 

Aidan: Then we'll just have to send both of them packing to the depths of hell. 

Ontario: ... Um, museum tomorrow? 

Pignati: internally This could get real bad sooner or later. 

meanwhile in Castelia Park 

Shanir: Ok, just go in there, call for Shantae, and see if Shimmer shows up. If she does, stall them so I can get a shot at Shimmer to catch her in a Pokeball. 

Adam: Ok. Sounds like a plan. 

Ava: Doesn't seem like there's any signs of chaos in there, but we should be careful. Adam, let's go. walks to the center of the park with Adam, where Shantae appears before them 

Shantae: Did you find N? 

Adam: We searched the whole city but couldn't get a good scent on him. 

Ava: It has been two years since we were last near him, so his smell isn't as pronounced. 

Shantae: I see, just keep looking ok. I need to find him. 

Adam: And by I, do you also me, we? 

Shantae: W-What are you talking about? 

Ava: You know, Umbreons have a pretty good sense of their surroundings. Such as picking up two ghostly presences when we spoke then and right now. 

Shantae: ... Ok. Shimmer. You can come out now. 

Shimmer reveals herself, while Adam and Ava hold their ground 

Adam: So it's true. You are back. 

Ava: And you're the one that killed those innocent Pokemon. 

Shimmer: Yeah, it's true. 

Adam: So tell me, why do you want to find N? Do you want to kill him as well to avenge Team Plasma? 

Shimmer: Look, there's more to it than that. 

Ava: Well excuse us for not wanting to help someone who berated us when we first met, and tried to freeze us all solid. 

Shantae: Please, I. We, just need to know what happened. And finding N is the only way. 

Adam: And why's that? 

Shimmer: ... Because he's the only one who would actually care about me. He's the only one who'd care to help me when everyone else has turned against me. 

Ava: Well maybe there's a good reason for that. 

Shimmer: Perhaps. ... spots a shadowy figure in the distance, and makes out a Serperior ... Shantae. Go. 

Shantae: What? 

Shimmer: GO! 

Shanir rounds the corner and chucks a Pokeball at Shimmer, but she and Shantae vanish before the ball collides and they disappear 

Shanir: Damn it! 

Ava: They escaped. 

Adam: Now what?
